Yeah, I wanted to see a video so that I can see what the ball is doing. Like I said before, I'm not saying it doesn't happen, I just haven't seen it (and I play the game A LOT). I've had tons of walks on balls in the dirt, but can't recall any where the catcher fielded it cleanly. Actually I don't see that many errors in a game (maybe once in a while) but for the most part it is around 3 total for both teams... usually throwing, fielding, or failure to throw due to a cancelled throw.

Re: MLB 11 The Show Title Update 1.16 Fix List
I played my franchise game last nite with the timing slider lowered to 2 (I use 5 normally) and it does seem to alleviate the problem a bit. Could be on to something here.....I definitely have to agree with the reasoning in this post. A lower timing slider reduces the window of opportunity for "perfect" timing, making it instead easier to be "just early" or "just late". By increasing the timing slider, you would have to be even earlier to meet the "early" criteria, and that is essentially what is happening here.Steam: BahnzoComment

Here goes. My first video attempt.Yeah, I wanted to see a video so that I can see what the ball is doing. You know what, the catcher doesn't actually drop the ball in this case. The pitch was just in the dirt.

Thanks for the video. Yeah, I think that is what everyone was saying, that it only happens when the catcher fields it cleanly.

Re: MLB 11 The Show Title Update 1.16 Fix List
Yeah happened twice to me this morning. Both on cleanly fielded balls. Ugh. At least it's the cpu that it happens to mostly. I don't walk enough guys for it to really affect my own team stats.

All the modes use the same engine, so yes, the player personnel issues have been patched.Originally posted by CuseGirlThe patch has apparently fixed franchise player personnel issues, have these issues been addressed in RTTS mode?
(Whether or not the patch actually fixed the issues is another debate).Comment

Re: MLB 11 The Show Title Update 1.16 Fix List
This past weekend was the first chance I've really had to play a few complete games since the patch and I definitely see what you're talking about. I used the Blue Jays in 2 games and ended up going 2-6 with Bautista, while drawing 3 walks. The one pitch that actually came across the middle of the plate I was able to drive off the wall for a long single. My other hit was a line drive up the middle on an outside pitch that probably was ball 4 in my at bat. I definitely noticed a difference in how was he pitched to opposed to some of the other guys in their lineup.Yeah, it seems like that to me as well. I had a runner at 3rd, 2 outs, Aramis Ramirez up, and Dan Haren wanted no part of ARam whatsoever (a very obvious 4 pitch walk). Before, it was noticeable to a degree and I would get 4 and 5 pitch walks at a decent clip, but I don't think I've ever seen the CPU want completely no part of a hitter. I was then able to single with Carlos Pena to score the runner at 3rd. Haren then pitched around Tyler Colvin (to load the bases) and pitched to Geovany Soto, who was able to hit a grand slam with 2 strikes on a contact swing, it was sweet.Comment

I understood that a restart of your franchise was not required for this patch to take effect.
You should be good to go.Comment

Hadn't had the severe problem, only had stutter here and there during the game, I just did it myself other day and it's been silky smooth since......Comment

I finally witnessed this yesterday, LOL. It took my 3 y/o to bump the controller, causing me to miss my gesture on analog pitching. I walk plenty of people, but I guess I just never did it on a pitch in the dirt (or at least a pitch that was fielded 'cleanly').
I still haven't seen the CPU do it... Guess I'm too much of a free-swinger

Re: MLB 11 The Show Title Update 1.16 Fix List
Hey Russell...I know it may be too late to ask this for MLB 12 but I have to.
Is it possible in season mode we can get service time adjusted? I like to play 29 game and 82 game seasons (162 is A LOT) and definitely in 29 the service time of players doesn't increase. For example, Bryce Harper will still be a rookie in Year 4 because service time is still based on a 162 game season.
I didn't know if you could throw this in a fix or next year but I just have to point it out. Thanks for listening to the community!Comment
