Did you know if you press FLIP (square) in the Batting Analysis Menu, you will see graphs of your user hot zones based on your batting average and slugging in that game?

I think it would also be cool if there were other tidbits in baseball itself and not just The Show, such as what might constitute a balk (delivering to the plate before completing your stretch motion) or only being allowed one mound visit per inning, etc.

You don't need to hold down R2, it's been that way for zone and timing hitting since I've started playing MLB 2006.
I guess we'll have to disagree then. I've also played the game since '06 and there's been lots of control changes since then.
I guess I find it odd then that when you move just the right stick, you get no feedback, but when you hold down R2 and do it you get a rumble confirmation. Even more odd that the in game controls says to hold R2.
Here are some very important things I l learned that the general public may not know about; things not in the manual or instructional screens in the game:
1. Did you know turning your TV to 'game mode' makes it much easier to hit. This will lessen standard game lag found in all video games. When playing other sports games like football, you might not notice a difference. This feature is absolutley essential for the game of baseball, however, where fractions of a second are absolutely vital.
2. Did you know if you customize a hitting camera with the 'offset' camera angle, you can not only adjust everything about it, it will also automatically adjust accordingly for lefty/righty, lefty/lefty, etc matchups. This slight offset view will dramatically help you pickup the ball out of the pitchers hand easier/more realistic than the standard 2D 90* angle camera view.
3. Did you know you on defense you can 'pre load' your throws.
4. Did you know turning off the strike zone and guess pitch (off or no feedback) will improve your hitting. These things are like training wheels. You need a goal to someday take the training wheels off.
