Ouch. In that case (and since injuries are off) forget the rehab stuff. There must be another way to raise player morale.

I was never able to max out player morale no matter how often I repaired facilities. I did sign players to a lot of lowball contracts though, and that might have been a factor.

So there's nothing that can be done in-season to boost player morale besides install facilities?

As for funds, there's really not a lot you can do with it past the 1st year. It just accumulates and really doesn't do anything.I hope they can change that next year.

BTW-you've played 4 years-did you see anything unusual the 4th offseason? I saw a lot of Type A FA go really cheap-2 million/yr, 3 million/yr-I want to know if I'm the only to see that.
I'm on my 3rd and yes this happens. Seems like the teams run out of money to offer (they'd rather offer it on young players) and then you get 3 terrible offers and the player ends of signing with a team.

After the 2nd season, nobody even offered BJ Upton or Kevin Youkalis so I just figured what the hey and offered K.Youk a 1 year 6.7 mil and Upton a 3 year 6.5 mil. I didn't figure I'd get them but they both signed.

I'm not happy with Upton so I went to trade him and literally no team is interested in a 1 on 1 trade. I even went for a 1 on 3 trade but nobody wants the guy. That's messed up. I tried the same for Youkalis, nobody wants him either. I can only trade either guy if I package them with a great star like Ethier or Longoria.

Well, player morale is made up of a lot of different factors-player performance, team performance, contract, a lot of different others. I don't remember all of them. One thing you could do is have winning records with your major league and minor league teams and if you do that will all teams, it should raise player morale since team performance would be maxed with all players.

The reason I could never max out player morale was the contracts I gave my players was too low. For example I signed Jason Pridie to a 30K-10 yr deal since no one else bid on him. Great deal, but it kept the contract part of player morale almost empty. Do that with enough players and it will drag down your player morale. All my other morale bars were high, but contract kept me at a certain level that would not increase.

If that's the case, I really don't get why the player morale bar wont budge...Imma try not to turn this into the *franchise progress* thread but....I'm playing with the Pirates...through 77 games, I'm 47-30 (1/2 GB)...None of my regular hitters are below .257...6th in BA...10th in HR's...13th in RBI's..My team ERA IS 3.58 with the highest ERA being 4.64...Granted some players are not playing up to their best capability but I think my record should coincide somewhat with player morale....As far as contracts go, 99% of my core guys are in the last year of their deal and obviously I can't negotiate in-season...If minor-leagues really has an effect on player morale, then I would understand because my AAA team is 13 games under .500 and my AA team is 23 games under .500....I haven't played one single minor league game since I started my franchise..Piggybacking off that, nobody in the minors has really deserved a chance to be promoted so I've stuck with the same 25 guys all year
