I play on HOF/HOF. When I started playing the show in '09 I played on rookie/rookie and I was terrible. Offensively I couldn't ever get to a two ball count and my pitching was pretty horrible too. I'm pretty good now. Over time and with more practice you'll most likely get better.Comment

Re: What difficulty do you play on?
Pitching is hall of fame while batting is still set at rookie
. I have the most enjoyable experience with that set up and the results are surprisingly realistic. I win some i loose some but more importantly it helps me enjoy the game

Re: What difficulty do you play on?
Veteran/Veteran/All-Star (Batting/Pitching/Fielding)
Analogue for hitting/fielding and classic pitching with the pitch control/consistency sliders both at 8.I love classic pitching, even with these sliders at 8 the stats are spot on.
Batting is my big problem. If I lose concentration I keep swinging like an idiot. Then I try to calm down my nerves and when patience takes control I'm good but again not so good (only 1 HR so far with power slider at 4, contact at 6.Maybe I'll increase the power slider at default 5).I'm a veteran baseball videogames player but the lack of everyday occupation with the real sport (I live in Greece) makes it harder for me imo.Last edited by fearwhatnow; 07-29-2011, 05:45 AM.Comment

All Star( Pitching and Batting for me)
I really need to start playing this again.
I copied and pasted this post because it is me to a tee. However, I will say that my hitting can be lack luster at times but this is mostly my fault. I can be very impatient at times. I find that I cannot play this game at all if I am wired up, frustrated at other things, something is on my mind, etc. I need to be calm so I can watch every pitch and make good decisions.Comment

I recently went through some relationship troubles, and this game QUICKLY hit the shelves.
I don't know what it is...this is my all-time favorite game, period. But when I'm having a serious personal issue, playing The Show is next to impossible.
Anyway...back to the thread topic. I just wanted to say how much I related to your post.
Moving on...Comment
