If people want to give themselves 95 mph knuckleballs, who cares? Their choice. Chances are if they want to give themselves a 95 mph knuckleball, realism isn't their main concern.

It's just really frustrating seeing something ignored from one year to the next. There's no excuse for Dickey still having a Wakefield knuckler. If it takes creating a special pitch for Dickey only, which is something they have ALREADY DONE with Dice-K in previous titles, then it should have been done and we shouldn't be here talking about it.

Yeah but like he said then the computer will generate guys that have 95mph knuckleballs and that ruins it for everyone.

So if you run into a guy with a 95 mph knuckleball, just tick it down. Problem solved.

Or, just create a pitch specifically for Dickey. I know they can do this.

I read what you said, I read what everyone said. He shouldn't still be pitching like Wakefield, my main frustration is that I have to wait for an update/patch. It's been 2 years of a slow knuckleball and I'm tired of waiting is all.

Hate to rebump this thread, and bring up an old topic, but the guy has been dominating the major leagues and is pitching great, but it's very hard to pitch as him in the game and he does not pitch as he does in real life, and so far this has not been fixed, any chance it will be fixed in this years game?

I just wound up simming the half-inning he would be on the mound. He seemed to put up better stats that way. Still, it would be nice to use him in the game but it's an exercise in frustration if you use his default pitch set, as that knuckler is impossible to control and you're guaranteed to give up 3-5 runs in one inning every game.

I've thought about editing his pitch type and giving him some different pitches, perhaps a slurve and a cut or 2-seam FB.

Yeah if you watch it on tv his knuckler doesn't seem to dance as much as others, but appears at times to just drop like a splitter, or move away from a hitter like a cutter or run in on them like a 2 seamer.



I think that his knuckleball needs to have less movement and dance then the other knucklers but have more speed. This in turn will make it easier to throw his knuckleball for strikes and have some sort of control over it ( because in real life he does not walk much ) along with having the correct speed of the pitch.
