I'm curious, when you guys do a fantasy draft, do you guys focus more on pitching and defense, or offense?

Re: Fantasy Draft Season Progress
What I would always do is do a fantasy draft and then get sick of it after a while because I couldn't really get behind the team playing a bunch of other fantasy teams. So what I did was take a franchise file starting the day after spring training to keep the lineups right, took a regular team (Dodgers), and traded for everyone I normally get in my fantasy draft. Now I have the 10th ranked team in the league with the other teams having at most 2 or 3 players swapped for Dodgers players. It should be pretty fun because it keeps the realism for me as far as being scared and knowing teams before I play them, but makes it fun because it isn't just a recreation of the same season. Should be a great timeOriginally posted by G PericoIf I ain't got it, then I gotta take it

Quality pitching goes fast... and don't forget to get your closer within the first few rounds as well. Mariano is around for the first few if you want him... most of the time.."Baseball is life, without Baseball life itself ceases to exist." - Ken SpragueComment

Re: Fantasy Draft Season Progress
I grab my 3-4-5 hitter in the first 3 rounds, then usually my C (Posey if im lucky or McCann or Yadier Molina), then I grab my first 2 SP's, then depending on my pick number 6/7/8 will be Bard (CP), Chapman and a position player if I have a low pick or Position/SP, Bard (CP), Chapman if I have a high pick, then I alternate between Pitchers and Postion players, always going for Young High talent players over slightly better veterens, however in the later rounds (20-25) I will take Veterens if no Young players are suitable...RED SOX NATION!!!!Comment
