theres no memory limitations for having different cleats, gloves, batting gloves etc. fifa has different options, madden does, nba does, even college baseball for old gen had em. putting different colors on the same shoe is far from a remedy.

And their graphical engines are not even close to what this pumps out with the stadium details, crowd, lighting, texture quality, etc, etc.Ⓥ Boston Red Sox | Miami DolphinsComment

uh, FIFA's detail blows every other sports game out of the water! madden and nba are just as good as the show.Comment

Re: What are u looking for in MLB the show 12 ?
Look, the stadium details in which are barely shown, are not even close in football or soccer games (rectangle cookie cutter stadiums) compared to what is shown in The Show with baseball.
Not even close to the crowd fidelity, and the textures/lighting engine is not even close. Not saying they do not look good, but The Show is using an extensively advanced and taxing lighting engine no other sports game on the market uses.
But believe what you want... You already set the tone in the other thread on how you felt about "developers".
Not going to argue about this.Ⓥ Boston Red Sox | Miami DolphinsComment

An option for a TRUE manual fielding system. I know you said it would be really hard, or something like that. But how are you supposed to get any better at fielding if the cpu keeps taking control over your highlighted player ?
Besides it would only be an option (obviously)
I used to love manual fielding in RBI when it was all on you.
There should be 3 options for fielding
Automatic (only control the throws)
Semi- auto (what manual is now)
Manual (complete control over your selected player)Comment

Re: What are u looking for in MLB the show 12 ?
Correct. It most certainly doesn't.
Anyway, I don't think I mentioned this before, but I'd like more options with the rosters to maybe set sub percentages (to ensure proper rotation for simmed or AI games). Also, maybe battery mates or specific off days for catchers would be a nice touch (setting off days for players in general would be nice).Comment

Re: What are u looking for in MLB the show 12 ?
I feel like the game pacing needs an adjustment. Whenever I'd watch a baseball game, and then play the SHOW, everything was so much slower in the video game as opposed to real life.
I understand they can't make fastballs and curveballs represent a more realistic speed, but as far as running down the line, fielding/swinging motions, pitching wind ups, etc etc, they could be faster to better represent real life.Comment

Re: What are u looking for in MLB the show 12 ?
Ive come up with a few things for the Show 12, some minor things that would add to the best baseball game ever...
- instead of having replays of just home runs when a player come back up to bat in the later innings, show replays of any big hits not just homers. Maybe in the 7th or 8th inning have like "hit of the game" or game changing play.
- have some pitchers and contact hitters choking up when they have 2 strikes on them.
- be able to move up in the batters box
- have ejections, i think they got taken out of franchise mode (not positive), maybe like MVP had.
-Show dug out shots, show the players in the dug out.
- Show shots of the outside of the stadium, before the game and/or after a "commercial break".
-Like mentioned in the thread already...have a scoreboard watch. That would be awesome.
- More of a Fox or ESPN baseball overlay, like scoreboard in corner of screen instead of across the
screen.
-more accessories, maybe 3 or 4 choices of catcher equipment.
-also one last thing...maybe an attribute for fatigue...players like joey votto, and brandon phillips should not need to be rested every 4 days.Last edited by crains13; 09-29-2011, 09:16 PM.#BBN #RedsNationComment

lol has anyone noticed that there is an option in franchise to demote a player to single A even though it doesn't exist in the game???"Baseball is life, without Baseball life itself ceases to exist." - Ken SpragueComment

Re: What are u looking for in MLB the show 12 ?
Do forgive the terseness of my post. I just spent 20 minutes thoughtfully writing this, got logged out somehow, and had it all disappear.
1. Different arm motions for different pitches, especially so we can recognize changeup.
2. Pitch frequency attribute. i.e.: FB frequency: 63% Slider frequency: 18% Cutter frequency: 13% Changeup frequency: 6%
3. Ball four in the dirt error. Please. No more.
4. Allow full edits of non-licensed managers and coaches. Because I need me some Clint Hurdle.
5. Fans catch homers and fouls instead of them warping through the stadium.
6. Player traits such as "pull hitter", "opposite field hitter" and attributes like "pull-side power" and "opposite field power". Somebody else suggested this. It's a good idea.Comment
