    More Gameplay fixes needed!

I have noticed that a lot of times when you move your fielder to the circle where the ball is going to land the fielder sometimes go past the circle even though I moved him right over the circle. And because of this the fielder does not catch the ball. This happens more times then I would like.

I guess the best way to explain this is the fielders are too jumpy when moving them with the left stick. They don't always stop where you want them too. This issue causes a lot of over running balls in the field of play.

Another issue I see often is when there is a little chopper in front of Home Plate its very hard for the catcher to field the ball a lot of times. Like he just can not pick it up fast enough.

Please ask Sony if these issues will be fixed.

      Gameplay issue!

Maybe its just me but I really think the CPU batters seem to swing to much at the first pitch. I get 3 pitch out innings more then it would happen in real life.

I think CPU batters should be a little more patient at the plate.

Maybe a little AI tweak is needed?

        One more Gameplay issue!

Too many hard hit balls up the middle are hit off the pitchers body. And then the ball rolls a way from the pitcher and then the pitcher fields the ball and usually is able to throw the batter out out first base.

Its like the pitchers in MLB 11 The Show are NHL Goalies

Most of these hits should be base hits to center field but because the pitchers are like NHL Goalies its costing batters base hits.

Too go along with this if the ball does hit the pitcher once in a while. Please add injuries to the pitchers. I had my starter get hit in the head in a recent game and he rolled around on the mound acting like he was shot. After that he just got up and continued on with the inning and game.

Sorry if this was said before but it is very annoying to see so many pitchers get hit by line drives and balls up the middle only to have the pitcher stay in the game.

            1. I would like a button to cut off a throw. Not just a cutoff man button but such as when I throw home from right field and realize I am not going to get him and I want to cut it off and catch the guy going to second.

            2. Injuries to players hit by batted balls. ie. concussions, broken toes, bruised elbows.

            3. Can fans reaching over the rail please field the balls once in awhile.

I don't know if this is an issue or if I am doing it wrong, but whenever I do a pick off with my catcher he just lobs the ball down. I play with the cards and I love trying to pick guys off with yadi.

^ I don't think it's possible to ever pick a runner off with the catcher.

One more one more thing. When the game starts up (the "press start" screen), or after finishing a baseball game in one of the game modes (franchise, rtts, etc...) there is usually this long delay. The game totally locks up during these delays - no buttons work or are recognized by the console - and the length of this "lock up" time can vary by quite a bit. It is very easy for a user to run into one of these delays, and assume their PS3/game has frozen entirely. I think it is really important that next year we get some sort of "now loading" pop-up text, or even an icon or something. That way, everyone knows what's going on with their game during these times.

I don't know if we are talking about the same thing, but this lock up happens whenever you are signed in with PSN. When offline, the lock up is hardly noticeable. Online, I have to say, is still quite buggy...

On the other hand yes it's always a good idea to indicate if it's loading stuff or something else that prevents us from doing anything.

I think that delay is the game syncing up to MLB to get scores and such(regardless of whether it's during season or not).....and it just sits there(with no indication) until it does so.
It happens when starting ....after saving...and coming out of franchise games as it looks to load the info.

Yeah this is exactly what I'm talking about. I don't really mind the delay, but I definitely think the game needs to make the reason more clear to users.

I'm so glad other people are having this pausing. I thought my PS3 was on its way out. I didn't notice it so much this summer, but of course there was that huge PSN fiasco so I guess it just wasn't happening.

                          Real simple:

Texas leaguers to actually become a factor into the hit variety. I never see the "bermuda triangle" in the Show...either the infielder or the outfielder easily has the time to get to the spot and set before catching for the out.

I wonder if hit variety is one of the things Sony is spending a lot of time working on for MLB 12 The Show?

Would love see some Texas leaguers.

I think the solution to that is just lowering Fielder Speed and Reaction, both of which are exceptionally high at default, in my opinion. If you watch real baseball you get an appreciation for just how long it takes for a fielder to get a read on the ball (it's better live, since televised footage cuts at just the right time so that you don't see most of the delay). The Show has fielders breaking almost right at the crack of the bat.

I'm also inclined to believe the ball needs to be sped up a bit overall. It seems to travel a bit too slowly, both in the air and on the ground.

More stats please. I know it isn't a big deal but I would like to see where players used to play before to show what I'm talking about, I would like to have it look it this.

                                2005 LAD .340 45 159..........
                                2006 LAD .290 23 120..........
                                2007 LAD-NYM .288 31 112....

And please have rotating interleague schedules! I been asking for this since MLB 08. I hate having my Angels in franchise never play the Dodgers in franchise except for the 1st year and being stuck playing the same interleague schedule from the 1st year in franchise mode.
