well since its the manage only mode i would like my manager to be able to argue calls with different options for arguing. improve player morale by arguing or getting thrown out to show players your fighting for them. also it would be nice to have blown calls by umpires where the commentators could even make a sugestion lets see the replay it looked like the umpires got it wrong. things like that since we are not actually playing the game the players are. have players get thrown out of games not just by close call at 1st arguing strikes, even players still arguing from dugout. where it would be cool to see umpires yelling into dugouts giving coaches warnings. this would be cool since we are only managing the games it would make this mode alot more fun. alot more ways of players getting injured foul balls hit by pitch and getting taken out an inning later which happens alot.

I need control of everything during the game no more stupid runner mysteriously trying to steal 3rd and getting thrown out in crucial situations without me sending him.which is why i stopped playing this mode! we need more variety with the foul balls. I need my catcher to be able to throw to 1st to try and pick off an overzealous baserunner. this mode has so much untapped potential i would love to see some of these implemaented in manager mode next year. thanks for listening to us psycho baseball lovin gamers! LOL!

JUST FYI...
This thread is NOT ONLY for Manage only Mode it's for the ENTIRE FRANCHISE portion of the game.

Would like to see a customizable league option for franchise, just like they do for online play, that way for any of the historic rosters, we can play the league how it was. Also since I am a MOM player, would like to see a chemistry or player personality part of it, where you have some players that are just all about themselves, i.e. Barry Bonds, and for him to play hard you have to kind of appease to him, and if he doesn't get his way and such he would effect the team chemistry aspect of it, also would be a really big challenge from that aspect having really good players and trying to get them all to gel together. Just my 2 Cents.

- Need to do something to make us feel like it is a full MLB season, rather than just one team. NBA 2K11 did a sweet job with this.

- I know that the contracts can't be exact as their real counter parts, but they need to be closer. I just went through the off-season and I re-signed Michael Cuddyer to a 3 year deal for about 2.5M a year, and Jason Kubel to a 2 year deal for about 1.0M a year. Pujols signed for 5 years and about 70M total.

-Need player roles in the game!!! If Madden can do it, any gaming company should be able to do it.

- And everything else everyone has said on here.

-Can we please get the ball 4 in the dirt counting as a n error on the catcher fixed. This ruined the game for me this year. Just started playing again last week. But I throw the controller everytime there is a ball 4 in the dirt. I am down to one controller, started with 3.

I agree with Cnelly on the contracts. The salary demands are way too low and budgets are too high that there isn't a challenge with FA without house rules. I really hope that they tighten up budgets (or let us customize them).

A trade finder or player finder similar to NBA 2K would be much welcomed.

Ability to set team philosophy to incorporate whether an organization favors advanced stats or more traditional ideas. This could impact things such as the players they value in FA/trades, the players they scout (HS vs College) and also impact how the AI manages their roster.

Dynamic ratings (or some other engine tweak) to make it worth calling up minor league players besides wanting to or injuries. This would be great for the AI as they would call guys up for reasons outside of injuries.

A system for punishing you if you bring a guy up before he's ready that would stunt his progression.

A nice tie in to the minor league idea would be some kind of prospect/minor league organization rankings similar to what Baseball America or Keith Law does.

A revamped scouting/drafting process. I'm not looking for 55 rounds of draft, but the entire process is rather boring, simple and feels extremely dated.

Having a master lineup that you could fill out and the NL/AL RH/LH lineups would auto populate based on or the ability to just copy/paste lineups.

Something similar that would be nice would be the ability to set an organizational depth chart that the CPU would reference if you chose to automatically set your lineup in case of an injury/trade.

There's a problem with how the CPU evaluates players not on the 40:

1. Players not on the 40 will have very little trade value. You can trade three very talented prospects for a old veteran player, and the trade will go through. Only players on 40 will be given value by the CPU.

2. The same thing occurs when a drafted player's contract is up. If they're not on the 40, you can offer whatever contract you like and they will sign by Feb.15. You could offer 30,000 a year for 10 years and they will sign it. You need to limit the contracts to 3-6 years after the rookie contract.

Overall, just look at the CPU evaluation of players not on 40. It needs a lot of work.

Eliminate "CLOSING PITCHER" position and just have RELIEVERS.
Then, we can just assign a Closer in the team's Rotation.

Furthermore, separate pitchers into LEFT-HANDED and RIGHT-HANDED, so that that we can search for them faster and easier when looking at Free Agents and trade bait.

So, instead of STARTERS, RELIEVERS, CLOSERS, we would have

LH STARTER
RH STARTER
LH RELIEVER
RH RELIEVER

(I realize this isn't really a "Franchise" issue, but this comes into play mostly while running franchises, and managing rosters.)

In MoM, since we "Manage," let's have control of the baserunners and be able to hold them or advance them. (as if we were the base-coaches.)

On the schedule screen would be nice to have a 'Series at a Glance' window showing your record and past game scores against the team you're currently playing. Would help alot to see how you stack up against a division rival or playoff opponent.

Foe MOM, no button pushing before each pitch. Have the game play and if you want to interrupt it to call a pitch or play, hit a button which would then bring up all the regular manage windows. Pressing a button just to continue regular play is unnecessary.

Lineup & Roster Handling

-- Better lineup after fatigue/injuries. I notice that when AI needs to take a player out of a starting line up (due to fatigue/injury), another player at the position simply replaces at the order where the player being replaced is assigned. This often leads to very weird line up quite often. AI should do re-ordering of line up if such a replacement is made, so that the final starting lineup looks reasonable according to hitters' abilities.

The most important thing I want to see improved to FRANCHISE/Season mode is for it to become just like "MLB Today" Feature!

Its too much to explain so I will just say please watch this video below and you will see exactly what I want in FRANCHISE/Season mode to be like in MLB 12,13 or 14 The Show!

FYI guys these threads need to be about 90% fixes, re-balancing and tweaks to existing features. When the game visits us our feature set will be locked, so this isn't a team for "wishlist" types of ideas. We recorded all that info around May.

I guess what I said does sound like new features. However I am talking about improving the current FRANCHISE Mode. As in fixing and tweaking it.

To be fear its almost the samething
