why are you guys arguing over uniforms in a video game ? i like the new marlins uniforms, although it does scream hurricanes, but meh i like it either way . jays uni's are nice too, really liked the old logo and glad they brought it back.

anyone ever ask the Dev's about some kind of uniform editor/creator?....that way we the user could create *throwbacks* to our hearts content....(similar to APF 2k8?.... I know it's apples/oranges---fake football game versus fully licensed baseball game)


we probably couldn't upload them to share (but that would be cool too...ala roster vault..player vault..slider vault)

I wonder if they will have the Indians new uniforms. They are revealing them in the next couple days. Something about going for a more vintage look.

I dont mind Miami's new colors, its the logo, its horrible. Just make it black with a orange border

I'm not Knight, but I would say that this would be against the licensing agreement between Major League Baseball and SCEA. MLB, like the NFL with Madden and the moving of franchises, has to protect their image. A uniform or stadium editor would go against this.

I wonder if they will have the Indians new uniforms. They are revealing them in the next couple days. Something about going for a more vintage look.

I haven't heard anything about the Indians changing. They already made a major change from last year going with the 40's era home and away jerseys along with 90's era white and blue jerseys. Perhaps you're a year late with the unveiling.

It has been brought up on the boards here for a while now....and like the good little foot soldiers we are, we have indeed brought it up to the SCEA team. Honestly, we don't weed out any of the community requests.....we bring them up and let God sort 'em out. (codeword for KOLBE )

Man, that would be absolutely awesome if they opened the game up to allow for uniform editing (I've always wondered how a Green Twins jersey would look), moving franchises to different cities, or even swapping teams from NL to AL (now with the Stros).

The thing I don't understand is why it's not allowed in a videogame to have the ABILITY to make such changes. I get they want to protect their image and therefore don't want the Yankees to be portrayed in Rainbow tops, but once the game is owned by an individual, doesn't it then become THEIR property? And how does what I do in my own home defame the license? It's no different than me photoshopping a picture of the Yankees in rainbow and then saving it as a my desktop wallpaper, right? I guess that whole thing is a little fuzzy, especially when games like Madden have been able to do it for years.

No, he's right. Chris Creamer doesn't have a home or blue alternate uniform for the Indians for 2012. That's usually a clue that there will be a new uni.

I'm really digging the new Orioles orange alternate jersey. Also the cartoon bird is making a return which is great, and I really like the new corresponding hats.

I just wish they would have done away with the black alternate, or at least changed the script to say "Baltimore" (so that the orange jersey can be the home alternate and the black jersey can be the road alternate).






Matt Wieters was sporting the old cartoon bird on his catcher's helmet all season in 2011, but I read that this was purely coincidence.
