Mate you can't download the template as me and Ada are the only ones that have one as we made ours, Ada doesnt want to give his out and not sure if I want to yet as they took ages to make :/
And make a melky Cabrera one!

I'm sorry, but you hardly made yours and probably didn't take ages to make like mine did. It seems like you just took the Buster Posey pdf and altered a few things. I remade the back cover from scratch with everything being vector. That's the reason why I don't want to share. No offense to everyone who's posted a cover in here, but they all look the same. The one exception being Cub23 going with his own style but the effect still looks bad. I'm sorry but when you don't put much effort into the cover, it shows. Just wanted to give my two cents. There is potential for some of you guys but you have to put forth the effort. Getting the effect right and also color correcting will enhance your covers to a new level.

No offense to everyone who's posted a cover in here, but they all look the same. The one exception being Cub23 going with his own style but the effect still looks bad. I think whats more important is that everyone who makes covers makes them the way they like them.

I dont like all the topaz and fading and special effects.
Its not my thing.
I make my covers as if they were magazine covers because thats the way I like them.
Some covers on here are awesome, some are great, some are good and some are God awfully horrible.
But thats my opinion.

As far as Im concerned, CubFan is the best at it.
I know mine arent great but Im learning PS and Im using these covers to do it.

Ive learned so much by just doing covers that now I can edit my own photos without calling my sister (a graphic artist) to do it for me.

If you guys dont wanna share, thats on you. You created it and its your right, I guess, but lets not call people out for their abilities or lack thereof.
So what if someone used a pdf and someone else created one from scratch.
Its just a cover or back cover as it were.
This has been a peaceful and helpful thread, lets keep it that way.

I don't see very many magazines posting images like your Michael Young cover. It's all over, random placement of stadium at bottom, player cut off that's cut and pasted over top and a texture background. If you seriously think you're one of the better ones, you're full of it. I hesitate on posting covers every time since all the ones that are posted, look the same and don't look like much effort has been put into them. Just giving my opinion/observation. That's why part of it was that I didn't want to share my template was all the work I put into it and the other was that I didn't want it to be used to make mediocre covers. I'm just giving my input into it because I can see not much time is going into these and doesn't seem like much care is put into them. I'd like to think that I'd use every single one of my covers as my own. I would like to take pride in my work, part of that being I do this for a living. So please don't tell me what I can and can't say. I'm only stating what I see and if people don't want the advice or wouldn't like to learn/improve their skills, that's on them.

I guess you want an argument so I'll give you one.

At no point did I say you couldnt say anything.
I said LET US not call people out for their inabilities.

At no point did I say I was "one of the better ones"
As a matter of fact, I said to the contrary.

I couldnt care less what you think of my covers. I dont make them for you.
I make them for me. And for only doing this for about 2 months, I think theyre pretty good.

I make my covers the way I want because theyre mine.
Yours? Are actually one of the worst.
You use entirely too much topaz and YES they all look alike.
None of them are original and they all look fake.

So as you said, "I'm only stating what I see"
