Well, Enigma, one of the main things we have been talking about for some time off and on is the COLORS FOR ALL STADIUMS. They all are off to some degree especially dirt and grass and walls. Look at Target Stadium. None of those colors are correct for the walls, dirt, or grass. The grass is nigh on pathetic looking. Looks like we have been in a drought for twenty years.

This is not a general stadium by stadium case. This is all stadiums to a lesser or larger degree. Stadiums in general have very green grass and not one does really accurately reflect this in MLB. So if you could mention that lol.... I would have hoped they have seen the numerous topics but I guess not. Sad that my large thread was deleted months ago by some brown nosing mod because that discussion was important.

Khronikos, if you don't like the way the site is moderated feel free to use a different one. I suggest you refrain from calling mods names, and bringing up the grass and the dirt in again and again. We get it, you don't like the grass and the dirt.

Also, usually we dont delete threads. Generally we try to close them, unless they're spam. Was your thread deleted or closed? And dont answer me here PM me, and I'll try to find your thread and tell you why it was deleted.

Besides the question if the grass and dirt is the correct colour I was wondering if we'll finally see some wear and tear on the grass instead of just on the dirt. The grass is picture perfect and it would be nice if there would be some pale colouring differences where the the outfielders mostly stand or something. I believe it was mentioned one time in a community day event thread from 2 years ago or so that during a field discussion one of the artists/programmers shoutet from his cubicle there would even be wear and tear in the outfield. Now maybe this happens allong the season and I just never see it because I only play exhibition. I know the ivy on the wall in Wrigley field changes colour during the season so I was wondering if I maybe missed it.

Not sure about wear and tear, but the ivy at Wrigley does grow in (from brown vines to green leaves) during the course of the spring.

List of stadiums that need a darker outfield wall?


I was thinking maybe we could start a list of all the stadiums that need their outfield wall to be made darker in the game. The only one I know for sure that needs to be darker is "Comerica Park". Plus the the Tigers letters on the big left field scoreboard is missing the Orange on the letters.

Are there any others that need to be added to this list? This list is a good idea becasue I have seen a lot of people here always complaining about the outfield walls not being dark enough.

And with Community Preview Event coming very soon maybe if we get the currect wall colors for every stadium for the guys there and get this info to Sony so it can be fixed in time for MLB 12 The Show.<!-- / message -->

Not to discourage you're list creation, since I'm sure we will take a look at any listed changes, but just understand that it is late in the game for some changes. Just so noone is setting themselves up for disappointment. (not saying what is or isn't too late.) Anything is possible, and some changes may already be completed by the time we arrive.

Also, there will be threads set up for these types of thing, for the community event. You should see them pop up soon enough.

Yeah, that was my original idea, but I decided rather than having another place for people putting what they want changed/fixed, it would be better to serve as a place where you can go to get information about the game, such as what different sliders and options do. I'm about to start putting some more information in.

Don't know how you eventually want to organize everything, but it isn't a bad idea after all to have a section (or other wiki) that keeps (any) info that people keep referring to over and over... Like a lot of things people repeat tend to be the same thing (lol), so rather than having them post the same thing over and over and making all these threads needlessly long, we could have a wiki of suggestions (lol). Not suggestion for you to do or put burden on your shoulder... just a thought.

This does happen already in season/franchise/RttS. The field lightens and discolors for the most common fielder routs.

Won't see it in exhibition.
