Re: Stadium upgrades for MLB 12
Enigma, how do those changes to CITI field look?? Can you describe the, in detail. Thanks.Harvey's BetterComment

The changes to Citi look great, IMO. They did a really good job recreating them... I won't go into detail, but I think the Mets fans in attendance were pretty happy with the results.

Re: Stadium upgrades for MLB 12
Thanks so much for the answer! A few more things, did they get the HD video Board down the RF line. It's in the corner almost. And two, are the dimensions exactly right? Thanks.Harvey's BetterComment

Re: Stadium upgrades for MLB 12
Haha, everyone's asking yanks questions
But anyway just a quick thought, Is it to late to change the color of the foul line on the left and right field walls if they haven't already been adjusted? They were white in '11, should be yellow(like the foul pole )
real life (April 2011):
MLB '11:
Also I saw how yankee stadium looked in the jose bautista trailer, so glad how it looks. Nice job SCEA

YanksFan4Life, I did respond to this question in the other thread. Not sure if you saw it.
Not totally unrelated, but the renovations for the Comerica Park LF board have begun...

Too bad they are keeping the details under wraps until opening day.

Re: Stadium upgrades for MLB 12
Indeed SLAB i was reading about that earlier.
Obvious upgrade would be a large HD screen where the old orange LED text used to show lineups, stats etc.
Have you heard anything of what might change with it?
Shame we have to wait until '13 to see it in the game, but it will be well worth it.Comment

Re: Stadium upgrades for MLB 12
I'm not sure if it has been asked before, but did they fix the backstops so that instead of hearing chain-sound like foul balls, we will be treated to ne-sound ones as in real life. Chain link backstops have been long gone in pro baseball. This would add realism to an already great game.Comment

I meant to write net-sound.I'm not sure if it has been asked before, but did they fix the backstops so that instead of hearing chain-sound like foul balls, we will be treated to ne-sound ones as in real life. We had brought that up when we were there. They did record "net" sounds, you can just never hear them in game because they are so subtle.I'm not sure if it has been asked before, but did they fix the backstops so that instead of hearing chain-sound like foul balls, we will be treated to ne-sound ones as in real life. Hopefully they can do something in this regard. I understand the design decision so you can get the feeling of a ball being fouled off the backstop, without having to see it.Ⓥ Boston Red Sox | Miami DolphinsComment

The chain link sound is indeed gone. At least, I didn't hear it not one time.I'm not sure if it has been asked before, but did they fix the backstops so that instead of hearing chain-sound like foul balls, we will be treated to ne-sound ones as in real life. Not quite sure of the changes PB. I've heard a few different things, but I don't think anyone (outside of the organization) knows for sure. I would definitely think that we get a large HD display in the middle, with two smaller "lineup/stat" displays on either side. I also heard that it was going to be raised a bit, so that there are no obstructed views for some fans along the third base line. Not sure how accurate that is tho... I'm looking forward to seeing the finished product.Indeed SLAB i was reading about that earlier.

Yeah, shame it wasn't able to get added this year, but I have a feeling it will be worth it too.
Speaking of CoPa... you can see the updated retired number for Sparky, and the microphone (since we couldn't use his name) for Ernie, in the Jose Bautista video that was released today!
There are other updates that we discussed, that I am hoping to see in the park as well, in '12.

Re: Stadium upgrades for MLB 12
I forgot about the new sounds of the game that were recorded some weeks ago. Hopefully, they killed two birds with one stone and took the opportunity to rid us of metal ''tics'' foul balls. MLB has beenusing fiber netting for a while now. It is far more resistant while it does interfere with spectators view. Sounds (pun intended!) great if they did take that out.We had brought that up when we were there. They did record "net" sounds, you can just never hear them in game because they are so subtle.
