Re: Stadium upgrades for MLB 12
Sony and MLB: The Show are the sole reasons why I decided to go and fork out money on a PS3. This entire thread sums up the reason why I made that decision. Not only is MLB: The Show the best baseball game on the market, and one of the best I've ever played quite frankly, but the devs listen to their customers.
EnigmaNemesis, thaSLAB, Pared, and the others who attended the Community Day event - much appreciation goes out to you guys. You took down the community's concerns, questions, and inquiries, and you got the answers. Not only that, but I'm 150% sure you guys had an unbelieveable time in the San Diego Studios. I've read through each thread regarding the Community Day event, and as much as I was looking forward to March 6 to roll around before, March 6 just can't get here fast enough now.
I didn't post any sort of concerns or anything because pretty much most of mine for each team's stadium were addressed by other people here. However, from what you guys have informed us about, every concern or question I had got answered. Huge round of applause goes to you guys, and the devs over at SCEA for listening, and relaying that information to us.
Again, I cannot thank you guys enough. Bravo!Comment

Question
You know how currently every stadium in MLB 11 The Show has the team logos scrolling on the LED ribbon boards. Has Sony said if they plan on using the real life LED ribbon boards in all the statiums with the Stats included instead of continuing to just have the team logos scrolling? In real life there are all kinds of Stats that appear on these LED ribbon boards and not just scrolling team logos.
Would be cool to have them in MLB The Show

Re: Stadium upgrades for MLB 12
The backstop where it says Bluejays.com and Rogers Centre, the text has always been way too big and just looks plain ugly. Any idea if this has been fixed?

Re: Stadium upgrades for MLB 12
They addressed it. The feeling was that it was unveiled too late to make it in this year.Comment

Not a big deal, just sort of forgot about it until I was reading through the Cubs homepage the other day, lol.
Next year it is!Comment

Re: Stadium upgrades for MLB 12
1. Its was only publicly unveiled 5 days ago, and is a pretty significant change to the stadium model.
2. Wrigley is one of the stadiums that have not been very forthcoming in providing info or access to the game's designers.
They do have plans to visit Wrigley this year, to get a better look at the changes once they are implemented.Comment

Re: Stadium upgrades for MLB 12
We did discuss this while we were there. Unfortunately, it's not going to be in this year, for 2 reasons:
1. Its was only publicly unveiled 5 days ago, and is a pretty significant change to the stadium model.
2. Wrigley is one of the stadiums that have not been very forthcoming in providing info or access to the game's designers.

Re: Stadium upgrades for MLB 12
A couple more questions for Slab. I was also wondering about a few little tweaks that would also add to the authenticity:
1. At CoPa, Jim Leyland is ALWAYS perched on his front row seat next to Lamont and McClendon. The game shows him on the bench at CoPa. He always sits next to the steps right against the fence.
2. Any chance of adding the Standing Room Only crowd on both sides of the fountain?
3. Are they going to add Tom Brookens to the game? Is there a reason he is not in it?
4. Please tell me the fixed Alex Avila's broadcast and PA name, he is an All-Star now. For those that don't know it's pronounced A-vee-la. His father and grandfather use the Ah-va-la.
Thanks for your hard work.Last edited by canyonblue; 01-21-2012, 12:52 AM.Comment

Ahh one day we will have the fountiain go off after homeruns and runs in the game. The last game to do this that I remember was WS2k3.Comment
