This year I'll probably take a similar approach to the last few years. I do one Franchise with the Yankees, playing every game. Then I'll do a Franchise with one AL team and one NL team, ideally teams that aren't contending right away but have a couple young players to build around (or good farm systems). I'll trade off some high-price veterans for prospects and start to rebuild. I'll only play one out of every four or five games so I can try to get through multiple seasons. Two years ago I did Nationals and Indians, last year I did Padres and Royals. This year I'm leaning toward Pittsburgh (nice park, a bit of young talent) and Seattle (nice park, hoping to move to Northwest soon, get to play with Montero and Noesi).

I think I'm going to choose one of these teams for my franchise:
-Rockies: great stadium, strong line-up, some nice young arms
-Royals: my favorite stadium in baseball, fantastic bullpen, some good young bats
-Nats: if they get Prince--yikes!
-Cardinals: well, they're my favorite teamComment

1. Pittsburgh Pirates- Have to play with the hometown team. Plus I love the McCutchen, Walker and Presley (Hopefully D.Lee will resign)
2. Washington Nationals- Really built the team up with Gio, Strasburg, Zimmerman X2, etc (Especially if they sign Fielder)
3. Texas Rangers- Crazy good team
4. Florida Marlins- New stadium, good signingsMLB: Pittsburgh Pirates, Boston Red Sox
NFL: Pittsburgh Steelers, Seattle Seahawks
NHL: Pittsburgh Penguins, St. Louis Blues
NBA: Oklahoma City Thunder, Golden State Warriors
College Sports: Pittsburgh Panthers, Penn State Nittany LionsComment

I'll probably still play with the White Sox even though they got scrapped. I'll be pretty excited if they get Yoennis Cespedes.Comment

KC.
They have HUGE potential. Once the starters come along, they will be a contender.Comment

I'm from Northern VA so I'll probably go with the Nationals. I like their uniforms, stadium, no DH, and they play in a nice division.
Also Ryan Zimmerman hosted me on my visit to UVA so I'm a fan of his.
They have a promising future.SOS Madden League (PS4) | League Archives

I'll be playing with the Braves (born in ATL and lifelong Braves fan), Cards (can't wait to see the what the impact is by losing Albert) and the Brew-crew (awesome team, and I've lived in Wisconsin for 7yrs).
Really excited about this game!Greatest Braves Pitcher of All Time

I always use the Mets. In road to the show I usually start out with San Fransisco.
If for whatever reason the Mets helmets this time around are as messed up as last year I might try someone else though...Comment

I always run with the Mets and Rockies, and will likely do the same this year. The Mets are going to be a good rebuilding project, and the Rockies aren't a powerhouse team, but have a good lineup, and Coors Field is a blast to play at.
Last year, I changed things up a bit and added an AL team to mix (Seattle), and wound up playing more of that Franchise than my two NL ones.
I'm considering running with Baltimore, Minnesota and Kansas City this year.Currently Playing:

Can't say I am looking forward to playing as the Mets but they are my team so I will have to stick with them (but maybe sim a year or two :-) )
I will give the Marlins some play in exhibition to play with Reyes. It will be so weird playing without him and not to mention watching him play against the Mets.Comment
