I have no idea what team I will pick this year. The A's are my team, but they are pure trash this year and not even making an effort to hide their true motive of moving the team. The only other team I have a vested interest in is the Cardinals, but I can't even fathom playing them without Pujols. Since I haven't played an NL team in a few iterations, I think I am leaning in that direction. Possibly the Nats since I am at least familiar with Gio, or might go the Marlin route. Other than that, the Pirates look interesting. Since I won't have a vested interest, I plan on playing one game a series and simming the rest so I can get through more seasons. Any other suggestions would be great. Thanks.

i only use the mariners.they just made a huge trade for jesus montero.they have a solid core of young players to build around.

james paxton.

hope when 2012 comes out they have the new jap pitcher we signed as well as the new trades

Yankees for me as always. I always keep the tradition and the great players that have played in pinstripes in mind, and I look at the young talent we have and talent we have acquired, and I try to continue that and see who I can make Yankee legends out of.

Plus... hey, I might even try and trade to get Montero back! Could be fun. First thing I'll be doing though, will be moving Burnett - whether it's via trade or just releasing him based on ST numbers. If Hughes doesn't succeed, I'll be trading him, and hopefully I'll be looking to add another impressive arm to my bullpen.

Can't Wait!!

Rays for me, being from Australia I picked a team to support based on them being underdogs, I have never looked back. I might try and get one of the reasons I became a fan back, Aubrey Huff

I'm going to roll with the O's this year. Their park plus thier new hats have reeled me in. Also trying to break the stranglehold of the AL East is a challenge. No idea what there team is like, will need to do some research.

I may run with them as well. I almost did in 11, but went with the Mariners instead. Baltimore is a very young team.

Phillies and the reason besides being my favorte team is becasue of their great starting pitching.

I can't hit worth of %$^% in this game but at least with a good pitching staff I can stay in games.

Im still deciding. Im not gonna use the Rangers this year as they are too good. I like using bad teams. Im thinking of Oakland, Seattle, or KC. Im leaning towards Seattle where I would trade Felix.

Man if you trade Felix you are going to have the worst time pitching. You'd have:
Iwakuma
Vargas
Millwood
Beaven
Prospect... Walker, Hultzen, or Paxton (All of which will need names added when we pick up the game)

Although trading Felix would at least give you the option of picking up some more offense to go with Ackley, Smoak and Montero.

Although trading Felix would at least give you the option of picking up some more offense to go with Ackley, Smoak and Montero.

Yeah, I don't like the idea of trading Felix... You could get a massive haul for him, but would the game respect his value in that regard? Also, don't forget Hector Noesi, who could end up being a #3 or #4 starter for the M's this season.

It would take an elite level Major League proven hitter and another prospect(s) to get Felix. If you Google some of the trade packages that teams have allegedly offered the Mariners, you'll see what the asking price for him is... Pretty steep.

At 25, I just couldn't see trading him away when there are some good, young offensive pieces to work with. Ackley, Montero, Smoak... When the OSFM set comes out, there will be some more intriguing prospects down on the farm.

On the flip side though, even without Felix, there are some very solid young pitching prospects down on the farm, but only Hultzen and Paxton are close to being ready. Walker is a couple years away at least.

I just wouldn't have the stomach to trade Felix.
