This sounds great. This game always is great. I used to be such a hardcore gamer, but now the only game I buy/play is the show. I lost interest in all games, no matter the genre. But I always look forward to the show and play it for days on end.

Just from reading the posts of guys who have played the game, it makes me more excited (and curious) about this aspect. As someone who has never even attempted to play baseball, I'm guessing it will give me a much more realistic experience in the game?

It will give you a completely different experience than any other sports game out there I would say. The whole game of baseball revolves around the physics of the ball and what actions are taken upon it (being hit, thrown, bouncing, spinning, and even bouncing off the wall) and that determines how the 9 fielders will react to the ball coming off the bat. This will create an almost entirely new experience for people playing baseball games if the physics is done right. With SCEA at the helm I don't have any doubts only pure enthusiasm for the release date.

I have a feeling that these ball physics will be more satisfying than the puck physics in NHL 12.

Although, 11 was a really bad hockey game in my eyes for realism 12 really made a stride forward in that regard but it still remains so far behind a game like The Show it is not even funny. They need to work on their presentation like 3000x more than these devs. They really need to get rolling soon.

So with this a person that pitches exclusively to the lower half of the zone, does this mean for the most part i will be giving up a lot less fly balls and having more ground balls??

Well if you "never" put anything above the bottom 3rd, expect MLB players to "adjust".

Re: Why ball physics is the most important change ever

hey that is how i pitch i try to throw everything to start breaking no higher than middle three boxes. most of them are lower than that.. i pitch how most pitchers do... hard in, soft away.

I"m not saying that i don't miss my mark using analog cause i have and i pay for it every time. However when im in the zone with my motion so to speak I'm spot on with hitting my spots or very close to it.

There is no better feeling than watching the computer take a ball on the outer half of the zone on a change up or curve ball for strike three... that my friends is priceless....
