I'm actually surprised so many people don't want to play the demo. Any taste of the game I can get I'll take. I have also been playing the series long enough to know that the demo may not be representative of the final product. Which doesn't bother me at all because I know I will be buying anyway.

I do get why people would wanna wait for the retail version though.

ditto. my friend tells me psn releases new stuff on tuesdays, so since it wasn't released last tuesday, i will be checking back this coming tuesday and then the next tuesday, if need be.

i have not played a demo since '09. once i get the cursors placed where i want, the presentation settings where i want, the audio/video settings where i want, the sliders where i want, and all the other settings where i want, it's great to be able to SAVE that and start my first round of my soon to be interrupted first season play...i always end up starting a season over a minimum of two times because of the awesome OS custom rosters that get updated...lol

The demo usually comes out like the final week of February. I think it serves a purpose for all types of people. Speaking for myself only, it gives me that nostalgic feeling of baseball being BACK ON! It's a nice thing to be able to preview the game, and try out the new control schemes early!

What are the OS custom rosters? What is different about it?

Operation Sports Full Minors (OSFM) led by Knight, Ridin & co. are the best rosters I've found for any game. They include all MLB, AAA, AA, and the top touted high A baseball players. These are a MUST for the serious gamer. It is unbelievable the work the OS community does year after year with realistic ratings and graphics for each player. Speaking of the demo, i was in one of my gamestops and the clerk was talking someone about the Vita that they had in and i snapped my head around and asked..

"Please tell me that they didn't pack a demo on there for mlb 12? cause if so my wife will have to come rip my hands off of it and drag my dead body out of here at closing time cause i will be here playing it all day long"

Well needless to say i didn't stay all day cause the there was no demo for it... i was bummed!!!!

I also found out that since there is another major game release on the same day we have ours, there MIGHT be a midnight release for our game as well. that depends on if they are allowed to do it. they will need to have a certain number of reserves for that days games that are coming out.

He told me to call back toward the end of the month. i told him he may have just saved me a drive to Walmart that night... at least i hope so. cause i could kill two birds with one stone... trade in and save and pick up the game... woooo hoooo!!!!

I'm just gonna play MLB11 for the next few weeks until MLB12 comes out instead of downloading the demo(mostly cause demo is like 2gb,and for people with a monthly limit, 2gb is actually alot to dl in a single day)

As a possible employee of the previously mentioned retailer... There will most likely be a midnight release for the game this year, since it comes out the same night as Mass Effect 3 and a new Street Fighter title.

I know for sure that most of the stores in my area have already decided to be open at midnight March 5, soooo keep bugging your local employees!

As a possible employee of the previously mentioned retailer... There will most likely be a midnight release for the game this year, since it comes out the same night as Mass Effect 3 and a new Street Fighter title.

I know for sure that most of the stores in my area have already decided to be open at midnight March 5, soooo keep bugging your local employees!

My local Gamestop is already scheduled for a midnight opening. The better question will be...Which game will I play first? Hopefully there will be a demo for The Show to help make up my mind...

Yeah two years ago there was no demo, but the full retail version was released to Best Buy kiosks a few weeks before release, which was pretty cool, even though it made a few of us stalk Best Buy's video game displays like crackheads

I would download a demo for any other game but with The Show, I don't have to. I already know that I will love it. I'd rather wait.

I just go to my 24-Hour Wal Mart when I want games right away...this is the first year I will have a ps3 so I'm looking forward to playing it!

Not if he's playing online!

Offline was great, but online had so many problems it took two hands to count them (hesitant throwing animations, people pulling out of games and getting the win, no classic stadiums, menu freezes, chat rooms showing incorrect people in them, no ISP rating meter which MLB 10 had, 1st inning quitters, abusing the bunt to bring guys home from 2nd base, in-game chat abuse to disrupt the pitcher or batter).

The Show has so much potential and is great offline, although the demo won't have any online modes, that's the aspect of the game that is in dire need of help!

I'd kind've like a Vita demo. I'll be buying it regardless, but I'll have my Vita in a week and half and it will be another 2 weeks after that for the Show. I'm REALLY anxious to try this thing on the Vita, even if it's just a little taste.
