I'd say they are both comparible to each other and the VITA wouldn't need scaled down.
Just my take

Vita is not that far in term of screen resolution with 960x540 . MLB only deliver 720p, not 1080p anymore.

I might be off a bit of course, but the size of VRAM might not be relevant as much in terms of how many "presentations" (as opposed to details on screen) that they can cram into the Vita version.

But the bottom line is that as far as the choice of presentation, it's been said that Advanced Fast Play is the only mode since SCEA speculated that's how most people would want to enjoy the game on Vita, and therefore developed that way.

The only constructive thing we can do to convince them otherwise is to give them feedback as such. Not accuse the devs/PR of hiding something.

Vita have some limitation and they had to make compromise like any game porting to any other platform.

You're really over-reacting when someone not saying what you would like him to say. Wow

My point is not about the Vita...
But rather that you are alluding to an idea that SCEA(in whatever dept) is trying to hide something about the Vita ......due to YOUR belief that the fact that it is fast play only is some sort of limit on the game due to a limit on the machine and not a dev decision to do so....when the devs have said....that is how they wanted to present the game this year on the Vita!

Call it what you want....but it's not a common sense leap IMO.

But if I don't get the Vita, I won't get fired for playing The Show all day at work. Man, sometimes I hate making responsible decisions.

If you have a Vita, you will be a happier man. As a happier man, you will have a better attitude at your job. With a better attitude, you will miss work less often, and work more productively. Your boss wants you to not miss work and he wants you to work productively. Therefore, your boss wants you to get a Playstation Vita.

Makes perfect sense to have fast play on the Vita, a screen of that size is not made for extended playing time.

Right, so make the default fast play and allow users that want presentations to set it as an option. There's no conspiracy, I'm in game marketing as well... Shortcomings promoted as features are just a way to spin faults towards the positive. If it really weren't about the Vita's limitations- it would be an option.

I didn't know it was marketed as a feature. That's odd if it was, it should have just been stated as fact.

If fast play were an option for PS3 that's how i'd be playing, lol.

Yes, i like to watch some of the cut scenes ,batter walkups periodically but basically i just want to get down to the meat and potatoes of the game. It takes far to long to play a game if you let everything run through.

Fast Play is a presentation option in MLB '11.

One of the reasons I'm getting Vita... I wanted to simulate more games quickly. I really do like running CPU vs. CPU games and see how the results come out. :P

I'm hoping the gameplay is the same on Vita/PS3 that I can use the same set for both. From what I have gathered, I think that will be the case so it'll be good...
