Re: Anyone else getting a Vita to play this game on?

Well of course they would not let me return the vita. Since I traded the ps3 towards the vita, it looks like this is the only option for baseball for me. Thankfully there are no compliants about the gameplay, which is good. I think the problem with the vita is that the game was hyped up by comparison to the PS3, which was really not fair as the developers had told us that they could not get the graphics to look that polished. Also we did know that it would havea modified fastplay, of course we did not know fully until now what was not included. I will try to learn to look past the negetives of this game and focus on the positives and there are plenty of positives. I will look forward to Nomo's sliders and knight's rosters !

Have you even played the game yet? Or are you just going off of what someone else has stated? Honest question.

Personally Vita would be *great* for MoM franchise type gamers. I hope to get deeper into franchise mode simming a lot of stuff I want to see. To me it's kinda like a portable radio (actually TV) that I can let it play while I work and stuff... when I usually listen to music or whatnot. I think that's a huge positive right there...

Yes, I really wish there are a bit more (optional) presentations to add drama to what goes on the field, but if it's not happening this year, then it's not happening this year. Hope more presentations get in in the next year's game.

Honestly, when I found out about no presentations- I was bummed as well. But after having played about 10 hours since Saturday, I can tell you that it's still the most awesome portable baseball I've played- by MILES. There are so many cool details and animations that make up for the shortcomings- you'll see.. It's really not a big deal.

I don't have a Vita, but I've been thinking about getting one. I actually held one today for the first time after doing days of reading.

Regarding the Vita and MLB The Show, is it difficult getting used to the size of the analog sticks? In general, how do the controls for MLB The Show feel?

It took me about two games to get used to. I slowed pitch speed down 1 point and that has helped quite a bit on all-star.

I bought a Vita for gaming in general. So I am personally already use to the analog sticks. Super Stardust gets you very acquainted with them.

Initial impressions and what was looking for as far as immersion. Doesn't matter now though.

It took me a couple of games as well. Especially when pitching. I think I have it down now, however. In fact, I pitched 7 1/3 innings of no hit ball last night. This after previously not being able to get out of the first inning without giving up at least one run.

I'm letting the CPU handle baserunning, however. Everyone else?

Didn't buy a vita JUST for the show...but the Vita has actually brought me back to the show. Haven't played since '09! But the idea of playing on my ps3 and the vita was just too awesome. Looking forward to playing baseball on the go!

Weird question, but I was curious if there is a way around "the cloud" in terms of transferring my saved game from my vita to my ps3. I don't want to pay to transfer my data.

                                The PS+ cloud is.

The game has an option that has its own "cloud" server hosted by The Show that can save one of each: franchise, season, RttS file.

All done through the in game menus.
