That's funny... I thought it was... God made policemen so firefighters would have heroes. Although for the sake of the rosters, local pd better not waste your time with drunk transient medical calls. No pawning off their problems until rosters are out!

We leave that to the washwomen in the Engine Cos.

Well, just got a nice reminder that I have a teeth cleaning on Mar. 6, so I won't be able to spend ALL day with The Show, but at least I don't have to work.

Things are different on the west coast... Fire rolls code to every medical call... Even if we ask for an ambulance only...

We do too....but only Engine Companies.(unless it's a pin job or an injury call that might require some sort of work with tools....impaled on a fence...things like that)
Truck Companies.....we just turn over for even "bed head".

I work on rotational shifts... and luckily night shift the week of release: I finish at 10am and don't go back to work until 10pm on the 8th.

I will never be bored at work again.... I just need to get through the next 2 nights with only Modnation Racers: Roadtrip...

Thankfully I don't have a class on Tuesdays, so I've got the whole day to myself and 12 Guess I'll have to do all my homework on Monday after classes

I love the game and look forward to it, but I have a longer-term view.

It usually takes me weeks to find the sliders and the game-play settings that I like. And I wait for the final opening day rosters to roll out in early April.

Plus, the majority of the time, the game has needed patches at release.

For me, the idea of spending vast amounts of time with the game on Release Day is kinda pointless.

Which is why I'm still finishing up Arkham City this week and through March. 400 Riddler trophies/puzzles down, and 40 physical challenges to go!

Methinks that the folks who are taking off work tomorrow are the same people who will be throwing bombs at SCEA the next day, when the inevitable (usually minor) patch-worthy issues arise.
