Re: MLB 12 playable at Best Buy

Very tempted to go to my local BB today and see if I could luck out. Only problem with that is that it is more than likely that this 35 year old will have to push some kid out of the way to get my fix

I know one year that Best Buy had the Show kiosk. It was mostly adults if at all anyone on it. I think the Show is mostly for 22 yrs and older. I dont see many kids getting this game.

Can you ensure there are 108 stitches on the ball?

Re: MLB 12 playable at Best Buy

Saved myself about a 12 mile drive by calling a Best Buy in Northeast Philadelphia to see if they had the game on display. They said they don't. So to anyone in the Philly area, don't go to the Best Buy on Roosevelt Boulevard or the one in Fairless Hills. They are a no go for the game.

                      Fellow Die Hards----
The Best Buy in Florence, KY has the game up and running. Was able to play 1 inning at lunch today---Marlins vs Reds. I can't overstate enough how improved the pitch to pitch play is. The sounds from the glove to the ump's call, to the general appearance---everything is so much more crisp and detailed. The ball physics were noticeable on a couple fly balls. Johnson is one tough guy to hit against--he made me look silly a couple times. I wanted to play more but a couple of other guys wanted a turn. So I got to see a guy play an inning of the Orioles and the Indians at Progressive. Gotta like the O's cartoon bird logo. Very sharp!! I shouldn't have played---now March 6th seems SO FAR AWAY!!!! If they can release it to Best Buy early---why can't we all get copies now!! Great job SCEA guys....you have truly proved yourselfs best in class again!

Did you see any noticeable weather events? What was the exact color of the cartoon bird? Like... what shade? Did you notice anything out of the ordinary with the Tribes caps?

Only played one inning so didn't notice any big weather effects. The Indians cap was the one with block "C" on it---I guess that is their retro cap? Not sure as I am not an Indians fan. The cartoon bird was dead on just what the old logo used to look like. Johnny Cueto had his 'Dreads, did his quarter turn, in the windup ala Luis Tiant. Jay Bruce has a cannon arm in RF just like in real life. You guys are going to love this game.....I didn't want to come back to the office........

Anyone who drives more than 20 minutes to play this game at a best buy... is a little crazy to say the least lol its just a game.
I understand driving to BUY it early but owell more impressions the better I suppose

Went back today and spent some more time with the game. Played two innings of Royals at Indians and an inning of Marlins at Giants.

Progressive Field looks really, really nice. The HD video board and all that are really cool, and you can see most of it from the default batting cam (see attached pic).

AT&T looks mostly unchanged as far as big stuff goes, but it felt -- to me at least -- like there were lots of new details and accent-type touches around that really added a lot to the experience. I guess you could say the sum of them were greater than their parts. It's nice.

Pulse pitching is still really freaking hard. So much so that I'm beginning to wonder if I'm just straight up doing it wrong.

Anyways, snapped a few pics for you guys.
