** Home Friday nights the Marlins are planning to use their alternate home black jersey.
** Home Sunday games, they’ll go with the alternate orange jersey.
** Home games any other day of the week, starting pitcher gets to choose. The Marlins will do some experimenting with the all-white uniforms and orange caps.
** The Marlins can wear a gray or black jersey on the road. The starting pitcher picks, unless the home team is wearing an alternate jersey. Say for example the Braves are hosting the Marlins and they go with their alternate red top. In that event, the Marlins would have to wear the gray.

That's legitimate enough. Somebody already added them.

I added the white alternate (with orange hat) to the table and will get a picture up soon.

Also, after seeing the Marlins uniforms today, I changed the Orange alternate uniform to the black hat.

The Marlins were wearing the white uniforms with orange socks for their game last night. Too bad the Marlins don't have orange socks on any of their sets in the game, though.

Yeah, it doesn't affect the game, so I won't add it to the table.

What I will add is the Padres blue alternate on the road, which they wore last night.

Doran, would you like a list of what Rangers players usually wear? I don't know if you would want to put it in the wiki, but based off this year and in years past:

I can put that up there. The home parts are all correct according to my Excel spreadsheet. Feliz started on the road on Sunday and wore the road jerseys, but it was JR Day - every road team wore their road jerseys on Sunday - so I'm discounting that. Harrison and Darvish were forced by the Twins during their series.

Today the Marlins are wearing the orange jerseys with the black hats. So it's like this:

Hat: Home
Jersey: H - Alternate
Pants: H - Alternate

I wonder if this will be typical for weekday day games or if it's truly random like the article said. I guess time will tell.

The article said it's Pitcher's Choice on any home game except for those on Friday and Sunday. Any home combination can be worn.

That is pretty cool how they mix and match like that. The black hats and orange jerseys looked pretty nice together. It probably looks better than the Sunday all-orange pumpkin overload.

So, that was Nolasco that chose to wear this combo today. We'll see if he keeps it up throughout the season.

EDIT: NVM, I see that they're using the black hats on Sundays, as well. I guess they don't like the pumpkin look, either.

As for the Cubs, their pitchers tend to select as follows when on the road...

Dempster - Road
Garza - R-Alternate
Samardzija - R-Alternate
Volstad - R-Alternate
Maholm - Unknown (he started on Jackie Robinson Day, and the team has a homestand coming up; gonna have to wait a while to find out)

Of course, they have been forced to always wear white at home since the 2010 season.

Wow, the Marlins have worn their gray road uniforms for a whopping 1 out of 11 road games so far. I wonder if it's going to be worth noting on the wiki that they rarely use the gray.

If the home team's alternate jersey is red, orange, or another light color, then the road team can wear their alternate jersey too.

In the A's @ Orioles game tonight, the Orioles were wearing their alternate black uniforms while the A's were wearing their dark green uniforms. I'm surprised that was allowed since their shade of green is so dark, but I guess it's acceptable.

The Cubs' Paul Maholm also uses the blue alternate jersey on the road.

Man, with Dempster on the DL, it's as if the gray road jersey doesn't even exist! Every other pitcher uses the blue alternates! (even Randy Wells, who is replacing Dempster while he's on the DL)

I wonder how many sets of the blue uniforms they even bring with them on the road. Is it possible that one of the other starters will be forced to wear the gray uniforms just because they have a surplus of gray uniforms and less blue? Or does the clubhouse staff arrange in advance to bring mostly blue uniforms because they know that EVERY pitcher on the active roster chooses to wear blue?
