Thanks for updating the wiki. That's what it's for.

I don't think it changes travel arrangements at all. There's always a chance that the home team will wear blue (*cough*Brewers) which would force them into gray anyways. They have to prepare for that.

Hmmm, this is interesting. The Marlins played a 4-game wraparound Friday-Monday series this weekend. They wore white on Sunday and are wearing the orange today for the last game of the series. It doesn't seem pitcher-related either because Buehrle started today, and he doesn't normally wear orange. Maybe the team's logic is "wear orange for the last game of the series," which makes sense because they even wore orange on that one Thursday in their last game against the Cubs.

The Marlins won't be back at home until mid-May after today (and they've only even played 3 home series total!), so we won't know what the pattern is for sure, but my money is that orange is meant for the last game of a series rather than having anything to do with Sunday in particular. I think the reason we were told "Sunday" in the article is because the majority of weekend series end on Sundays. They may have just been generalizing.

Agreed. I noticed that today too when I tabulated the jerseys, that they didn't wear orange yesterday.

I actually thought the Blue Jays were doing that too, as they wore blue on Thursday for the last game against Baltimore even though it was a night game. Usually, blue is reserved for day games. Then they did not wear blue on Sunday, but they did on Saturday, even though they usually wear it on weekends...

I might change the Blue Jays if it keeps up for the next few weeks.

that's how it was in triple play baseball, every team wore alternate jerseys in the last game of each series.

A video game actually followed that rather crazy pattern for every team? Interesting.

On another website that I trust, it has been said that Marlins management dresses a mannequin before every game and then they stick it in the locker room. The players have to wear whatever marketing tells them to wear that day.

The starting pitchers could still submit options though.

It's pretty much always black on the road. They haven't worn gray since that one isolated game in April in Washington. They have worn black for every road game before and after that.

On the wiki, you have the Braves wearing the throwback on Wednesday home games, and that is not the case. They did for the 4/18 game against the Mets, but only because they wore their regular home uniforms for Jackie Robinson Day on Sunday.

Re: MLB 12: The Show Jersey table

Ok, so it was the last game of a series for the Marlins today, but instead of wearing the orange tops, they busted out the white tops with orange hats (was this the first time ever?). Maybe the fact that it was only a 2-game series messed with things; I'm not sure. After only 5 games at home, the Marlins go back out on the road for their next 5 games, but then they play all home games for the remainder of the month after that. I still want to see if there's any set-in-stone pattern for the orange jerseys or if they only loosely follow a pattern.

At the end of the month, depending on what the Marlins wear, I might change the table to just random/pitcher's choice if they don't have anything really set in stone.

Well, the Rangers are all over the place on this. The only consistent has been Darvish, who has worn the regular home and away uniforms on all of his starts. Lewis has also done this if I remember correctly. Holland has worn the red caps with the home unis on occasion, and has worn blue on the road most of the time. Harrison usually wears blue on all occasions, and Feldman started Monday in blue.

My best advice to people playing against the Rangers is do what Ron Washington would do: Go with the gut.

Ok, so over this past homestand, the Marlins only went with the orange uniforms on Sunday and not on the last day of the weekday series. Perhaps they're actually following the schedule that was originally laid out?
