I think in last's years game, if you edited a player in during a franchise they didn't progress the next year, is that still the same?

Re: MLB 12 The Show - Q&A Thread
How are the default sliders this year on HOF (timing and meter)? Can we play right out of the box or will there need to be slider adjustments in order to get realistic results?
How is default pitch speed. I needed to adjust my pitch speed down 2 notches last year?
How is the default camera angle for hitting? I used catcher 9 last year.
ThanksComment

Re: MLB 12 The Show - Q&A Thread
I finally tried the game at Best Buy the other day...I really like it, but was only able to play like 3 innings before the fiancee was asking to go. I really like pitching with the view from the catcher for some reason and I never deviated from it last year even with the addition of the broadcast cameras from behind the pitchers. This year I really want to use them so it looks like a TV broadcast. I tried it yesterday for two innings.
So my questions are for anyone that pitches with this setup:
1. Do you find it harder to keep pitches in the zone/hit the corners? I am not that great at hitting in this game, but I was pretty good with pitching last year using the analog. Instead of hitting my corners like I did last year I instantly started missing a lot of pitches (BARELY). Maybe it is just b/c I have never used it before. Any thoughts?
2. Also, does anyone find it difficult to react to plays in the field where diving or jumping may be required b/c of the decreased reaction time due to the camera spinning around/flipping around quickly? Or is this really not an issue?
3. Would the pulse pitching make number 1 better or worse? Or would it be the same, and just take time to get used to it?. I really want to use the broadcast behind the pitcher cameras this year. I have not tried pulse pitching yet, and I will give it a try eventually but it doesn't seem like something that I will enjoy.Last edited by garyjr33; 03-04-2012, 02:55 PM.NHL: Rangers

Personally they play well out of the box. Ive made some adjustments to fielding and pitching for my personal preference.
How is default pitch speed. I needed to adjust my pitch speed down 2 notches last year? I am at -2 this year as I was still too late seeing at default
How is the default camera angle for hitting? I used catcher 9 last year.

Re: MLB 12 The Show - Q&A Thread
Thanks for the quick reply Skyboxer. It is good to hear that the default sliders play well and not too many adjustments are necessary. The ONLY thing that is a bit frustrating about this game is the amount of games and the amount of time it takes for me to adjust my sliders in order to give me realistic results. Hopefully this year that process won't take as long.
How are the difficulty levels? I played most of last year playing on HOF for both hitting and pitching (timing and meter) - is HOF the same as last year?Comment

The cpu sends players down and uses logic to determine lineups and rotations. There is a workaround though you can use.Comment

So people asked about the 1B coach for the Yanks. In the latest roster update he has changed to this:
