Anyone having some glitchy problems with the compression sleeve? On some players when I select 3/4 it looks like wrist tape around their wrist, and when I pick long nothing shows up.

Re: MLB 12 The Show - Q&A Thread
Does anybody know if its been reported whether the ALL Star Pitching difficulty waschanged this year either made harder, easier, or stayed the same? I am sure that HOF has been ramped and made more difficult just based on early observation.Comment

Re: MLB 12 The Show - Q&A Thread
Before I start, I want to say that I realize my question is highly subjective and I appreciate any help and realize no one can answer this for sure......but, searching the forums last year it seemed many were in the same situation as me, so it's why I feel someone may be able to help me as I am currently on the fence with purchasing this game....
Anyways, here is my Show history and why I am looking for help.
09' was my first Show. I loved that game. I played it right out of the box, and while stats weren't perfect the important areas (to me) were. Scores were realistic, varied and unpredictable. HR's were reasonable. Pitchers Era and K's, etc.
I did not purchase 10' because I loved that game so much I was content playing my Franchise and honestly could still be playing it today if my PS3 did not die and cause me to lose my save file.
So I bought 11' last year. Unfortunately I did not get the same experience. Hitting was too easy out of the box. I was hitting tons of home runs every game. Then when I'd move up a level it was the opposite. I then went to the slider forums and wound up in slider hell....I could never find a happy point. Compensating for one aspect would break something else. (like decreasing HR's which I needed would take away other XBH's). I can't tell you how many times I went through significant sample sizes, how many franchises were started and stopped because they were not meeting expectations.
The good news was I found plenty of fun/time in RTTS, but I was disappointed I could not have that same Franchise experience as 09'.
If anyone reads this and had similar problems last year, or similar feelings......I would be super grateful if you could give me some thoughts on what you think about this year's game. I've seen most of the impressions have been positive, but I guess I'm just looking for a nudge or some confirmation from someone who's had a similar experience with the series.

Re: MLB 12 The Show - Q&A Thread
do small market teams in RTTS mode still trade every single one of their star players for bunch of prospects that turn into scrubs after couple of seasons like in last years game? did the trade logic improve at all in RTTS mode from last years version, because i saw some of the dumbest trades in RTTS last year. after couple of seasons all the small market teams where filled with triple a scrubs while all the big market teams were loaded with allstar players.
also, did they fix the "glitch" where catchers always bat 3rd in the lineup regardless of their ratings?
thanks.Last edited by rp03ev; 03-06-2012, 11:45 PM.Comment

The last Show I played significantly was 2009 which had "swing influence". Does this years version have swing influence?Comment

Re: MLB 12 The Show - Q&A Thread
I have baserunning question.
How do I make the seemless contiunation around the bases out of the batter box this year?
Every time I hit the ball in the gap, I try to take control of runner he stops. It's doing like last year, where I could flick the left stick in the direction of the base and the runner in base window would highlight showing control.
I am using classic baserunning by the way. Thanks in advanceComment

Re: MLB 12 The Show - Q&A Thread
You should get prompted when you start the game(it will say....there is a new online roster from XX/XX...do you want to download?"
Also...when you go into SPORTSCONNECT...it should prompt you as well.

Re: MLB 12 The Show - Q&A Thread
Kind of an odd request, but can someone try hitting a home run with Adam Rosales (OAK) and see if he sprints around the bases for a home run? It was brought up by me and others in the signature player routines thread from Russell. Rosales isn't a great power hitter, so maybe editing his hitting stats to max could aid this.
It should resemble this, from his days on the Reds:
And actually to add on, even easier: check if he sprints to first on a walk. This was also brought up.Oakland, CA

Re: MLB 12 The Show - Q&A Thread
For guys with Vita.
Does anyone know how to prevent Vita to go into the standby mode while letting the game play by itself? I know there's a system setting to change the inactive time before standby (3 or 5 mins, I remember), but when I'm running, say, a CPU vs CPU game, I don't want Vita to go to standby at all.Comment
