In other words, you'll see a pitch. Camera cuts to hitter. Hitter goes through his routine, but just as the animation needs just a few extra seconds to move seamlessly from pre-at bat signature stance to the batters signature stance, there's a skip in the action when the camera cuts to your batting or pitching cam.

It's jarring and I'm not sure why they made that decision but to speed up the game - which is what I thought Fast Play was supposed to give gamers that didn't want to watch entire routines.

    Such a shame !

I'd have loved to see a MLB 12 game just as real as possible.
What do they call TruBroadcast then ? A different viewing angle ?

    So sad.

I remember that in 2010, except for the foulballs, the actions and cut scenes blended seamlessly in a real time game pace.

    I'm a bit disappointed.

They have the stat in there for the first time this year (I think anyway) for lifetime batting average with some batters against certain pitchers and it comes up randomely during the batter stat overlay. . .. I think I already know the answer to this but is there any way to manually bring that stat up before an at bat so you bring in the best matchup?? I love knowing that stat, I just hope it's accessible any time.

yes, but the view they showed the one time i hit a homer there, was not super close.

Maybe wait after the patch. As reported by others as well, the pitcher delay setting ( faster, normal, slower) seems to have no effect at all (try faster and then slower). I'm used in '11 to play at slower which gives enough time for batter to finish his routine. It sounds like this setting is defaulted to faster and that's why pitcher jump in ready state so quickly.

My 2 cents but hope it's just that

Does anyone know if the CPU manages their lineup like a Spring Training lineup during Spring Training in franchise? Once the OS Full Minors rosters come out I'm thinking that I may play some spring training games in order to get better at hitting. I'm really struggling with it right now. I'm going to continue to play, play now games but I also think it would be cool to get used to the Twins roster in Spring Training when I start a franchise.

Im 99% certain Pitch Delay isnt working how it should, ive stuck it in the bugs thread so hopefully its included in the patch.

At the moment i literally see no difference between Fastest and Slower...which i hate as i love to take my time.

Maybe that's why it cut's off the batters routine, there's no difference between the two.

That's what I think as well Psycho. I came to same conclusion. Maybe if some other guys can give it a try so we can confirm this bug.

my question is how do you steal bases before the pitch?

the controls screen says D pad + (i think thats right analogue but not sure?) btw i'm using classic base running. so i guess its the same for both pre pitch and during the play. thanks in advance

Ive had the same problem. I let the CPU autofix and then go back and change it. that way the game doesnt freeze.

Is anyone having problems hitting on Timing mode at any level (Easy and above) - I was great in MLB 11 and now I cant hit at all. Im in midst of a 11 game losing streak and have the worst average in the league (.211)! Its horrible...idk if its my control or the game. My pitching is fine... >

Hey everyone! I'm loving the show, but am seriously confused about why I'm not starting as a pitcher in RTTS. I played in double A with the Yankees (Trenton) where I had a 19-0 record with an ERA of 1.50 and was traded to the Dodgers along with Swisher for Ethier. I guess the Yankees were upgrading in RF, I get it. With the Dodgers' double A team I finished the season at 23-0 with an ERA of 1.40, leading the league in almost everything: Strikeouts, ERA, Wins, Losses, WHIP, etc. I was promoted to AAA in time for the postseason where it showed that I was ranked as the third best pitcher in the league, yet I was assigned to the bullpen. I clicked on interactions to speak with my manager about starting and was told that I'm not starter material.... Are you kidding me????? The only thing I could have possibly done wrong was I could not get my slugging percentage up which was one of my goals. Still.... I do not get it. How do you not start the third best pitcher in the league????????? Any help would be greatly appreciated... being a relief pitcher sucks.

                                Eh sort of.

Starters will go 3 innings and increase their workload as Spring Training goes on (nice little deal there).

But currently playing Spring Training in Season Mode and after over a week there are several pitchers with no work. It seems the CPU still manages its bullpen like a real game after the starter is pulled.

They do sub in pinch hitters by the middle of the game but I haven't seen benchwarmers start games in the lineup. They are always pinch hitters and defensive replacements.

Also played a game against the Phillies and after D. Brown and Thome pinch hit, the CPU proceeded to have Thome play CF and Brown play 1B. Made very little sense.
