It depends what you're looking for in a roster set. Most of the offshoots of the original OSFM have updated transactions so if you are looking for an opening day set your choices are severely limited.

I was working on updating my pitch edits set (OSFM v3) to include rerates, but I got sidetracked and only managed to finish Baltimore. It's still an opening day roster and has updated pitch edits for all pitchers as of 8/10/12, in addition to updated fielding ratings for all players and a ton of CAPs that I updated. I uploaded it a couple of days ago so others can use my CAPs if they wanted, but its still suitable for franchise play - its called "updated OSFM v3"

For the first time ever, I got no-hit. Couldn't square up Dickey's knuckler. Uggla hit what would have been a homer in the 5th, but it was to dead center, so it just stayed in the park.

Thank goodness the Phillies won. I would have hated to have clinched the division on a day when I was no-hit.

Oh man, that's nuts. I've never been no-hit, but Lee and Halladay have come close, with one- and two-hitters this season.

Good thing you won't have to see Dickey in the playoffs.

After missing a month (26 games) due to a hamstring injury, Ike Davis returned to the New York Mets lineup. In his first game back Davis was 2-for-4 with a HR as the Mets won their fourth-straight game, 3-1 over the Phillies.

24-25 on the season and 6.5 games back of Atlanta.

            Re: 2012 Franchise Progress Thread

Started the fantasy draft yesterday. First time I've ever done that in any sports game. Didn't know what I was missing.

29-game season using the Cubs, so that I can finish fast and play each team once.

I had the 21st pick, and amazingly, Josh Hamilton was available. Even more surprising, I had the 10th pick in the second round and was able to get Miguel Cabrerra.

Because I plan on playing only one season, I didn't hesitate to draft older players, so I got Jeter, Ichiro, Berkman, Helton, Ibanez, Rivera.

I focused more on hitting, so my rotation is relatively weak (Hudson, Burnett, Chen, Harang, can't recall the other guy).

Season opener at Angels, had to go through seven pitchers to escape with 11-9 win in 11 innings. Banged out 22 hits, so I might need to adjust sliders.

Really, really cool seeing so many familiar faces like Jeter, Ichiro, Cabrerra and Hamilton in different uniforms, especially the Cubs.

Next up, home opener vs. Oakland. Can't wait to see players in uniforms you're not accustomed to seeing them in.
It's on me. I shook his hand too hard. It was a hard ... kind of a slap-shake.

"What? You can't challenge a scoring play?''

Down to the final series of the regular season; three games to go. My Braves are set. At 93-66, we've clinched the East and homefield advantage throughout the NL playoffs.

The Brewers have clinched the Central and the No. 2 seed. Two races left in the NL. The Dodgers have a three-game lead over the D-Backs in the West, and the Phillies have a three-game lead over the Cardinals for the wild card.

In the AL, the Yankees lead the Red Sox by two games. The Angels lead the Rangers by two games as well. The Tigers have clinched the Central and either the Yankees or Red Sox will be the wild card.

                Re: 2012 Franchise Progress Thread

Just started a Astros franchise using default rosters. Got swept in the first series by Colorado but i have hope all the games were decided by 3 runs or less. I just have to get used to most of the pitchers wind ups in meter. once i do that, well i think i will have it ok. until then however, well, lets just pray!

Yeah fantasy drafts are always interesting. I did the same thing and focused on offensive players and thought I was going to have a really good team but i had to settle for a weak rotation because all the best pitchers were taken. Still you can always trade for some pitching or just work with what you got.

Every year I say I'm going to do it; every year I fail. But I didn't fail this year.

Game 162 is in the books. Playing every pitch, the regular season is complete. I'll do a full season recap later, for now the playoffs are set. The Rangers managed to tie the Angels on the final day, then beat them in the one-game playoff for the final playoff berth.

                    AL
Tigers (104-58) vs. Red Sox (95-67)
                    Yankees (98-64) vs. Rangers (91-72)

                    NL
                    Braves (94-68) vs. Dodgers (88-74)
                    Brewers (90-72) vs. Phillies (91-71)

Congrats on finishing all 162 games. That's a goal of mine, too. I should be able to do it by using the Vita.

Best of luck in the playoffs.

Congrats! I play every inning of every game myself. It usually means I end up only getting one and a half years in my franchises before the next installment hits but for me it's much more fulfilling than simming games.

                        Good luck in the playoffs!

Wow good work. I started a 162 game season in franchise mode. So far I'm only midway through May! I really only get enough time for one or 2 games a night after work and then I miss plenty of nights doing other things or playing other games like FIFA and NHL. My angels are 4 games ahead in the west. I guess I still have until the show 13 comes out so plenty of time.
