        Hey all,

Getting ready to start my Bucs franchise, just got back from the game actually. Was an exciting weekend with back to back wins in walk-off fashion. But, I have a question, when SCEA releases a patch, which will probably include the fixing of the times on the schedules, will you have to restart your franchise? Or will it just be implemented into your already existing franchise? This is a MUST-KNOW before I start! Thank you!

Just came here to say I enjoy reading about everyone's Franchises, and will be starting my Texas Rangers one any day now.

Good luck and have fun to everyone in their gaming.

            Re: 2012 Franchise Progress Thread

Just lost 9-7 to the Blue Jays. Hellickson had an awful night allowing 8 runs over 5 innings of work.

Right now, I have Fuld, Farnsworth and Lobaton on the DL. All of them are on the 60-day DL. I get word after the game that Molina suffered a "shoulder separation" and will be out "2-3 months."

Lobaton would have been the logical choice here, but, since he is out - I went with Chris Gimenez. Called him up from Durham over Robinson Chirinos. Both are right-handed bats, but, Gimenez has better splits, more runs created and a better secondary average. I take that stuff into account because of my sim schedule (I play 1 and sim 5).

Lost 2-0 on an absolute gem by Worley. He slipped a bit in the 1st inning, and our offense could not do anything (hey! reminds me of real life). 10 Ks, 8 scoreless, and we lose. Pitiful.

the dodgers finish their second season at 104-58 winning the nl west. Clayton Kershaw won both the Cy young and MVP with a record of 20-1 a 1.97 ERA and 244 K's

in the first round we faced the reds, i played 3 of the games, lost 2 of them but we won the series 3-2 in the NLCS we played the padres and i played three of the games, we won 4-3 in a helluva game 7.
in the World Series we played the New York Yankees I played 3 of the games and we won 4-0 with a dominating 12-7 win in game 4 against CC.

in the off season only one big contract was needed to be resigned, longoria got 6 years 72 million. the dodgers payroll is now 121 million and i have 22 million left over in free space.

heading into season 3 looking to repeat

Dropped a 3-2 heartbreaker in 11 innings to the Braves in Atlanta. Freeman hit a walk off single off of Acosta.

I had multiple chances to win it but I could not come thru with the clutch hit. I really turned into an impatient fool with runners on base.

Is it me or are there are still too many injuries during sim games?

i am 6-4, early tie with Phils for 1st.

The first month is in the books and Seattle is two games up on the Angels and the Tigers. Adam Lind, Jesus Montero and Justin Smoak are crushing the call, while Kawasaki and Figgins are hitting in the low .200 range. My pitching staff has been lights out. Felix, Garza, Iwakuma and Vargas are on fire. Millwood is struggling a bit, and the bullpen is very shaky.

                        Re: 2012 Franchise Progress Thread

Just started my Cubs franchise now that the OSFM Rosters are out and boy does our team suck lol...We have no A potential starting pitchers, and a weak weak farm system. I use the sliders "thepick88" on all-star hiting and pitching incase anybody is interested in picking those up. They seem to work for me, although I am thinking of tweaking a few things. During spring training I traded Paul Maholm(B Potential), RF Reggie Golden(B potential I think) and 2B Jeff Baker(Old, but still rakes against leftys) for Carlos Zambrano back I miss Big Z in Cubbie Blue. I also made a trade to aquire some young decent pitchers. I traded OF Marlon Byrd, 3B/IF/OF Travis Wood(25 years old, B Potential), and an A potential 19 year old 2B who I cant recall his name, for Julio Tehrehan(21 year old, D Overall, A Potential) and Mike Minor(24 year old, B Potential) from the Braves. While the deals may not have been 100% realistic, the Braves had a surplus in pitching, needed 3B help and outfield help, and acquired a 2B prospect in the mix, while I acquired a decent pitcher, and a pitcher for the future.

My pitching staff now looks like:

                        Garza
                        Dempster
                        Samardzija
                        Zambrano
                        Minor

                        Bullpen(From what I remember) is

                        Volstad
                        Wells
                        Wood
                        Marmol
                        Dolis

                        Lineup:

                        SS Castro
                        RF Dejesus
                        LF Soriano
                        1B Lahair
                        3B Stewart
                        CF Jackson
                        2B Barney
                        C Soto
                        Pitcher

                        Bench Players:
                        Josh Vitters(Plays against lefties)
                        Anthony Rizzo(Plays against Lefties)
Reed Johnson(Platoon's in the OF on days off)

I got to play the first inning of the first game against the Nationals in the opener, before I had to leave to come to work. Dempster got the opening day nod, and gave up a run in the first inning, striking out 2. Strasburg who was pitching for the nationals shut me down. Excited to go back home on my lunch break and finish the game! lol.

Looking to move someone at the deadline, either Dejesus, Soriano, or Lahair so that Rizzo can begin playing full time. If I move Dejesus, then Lahair could play right field, opening up first for Rizzo. Also looking to move Garza for some decent prospects I think.

Just took the rubber game against the Angels at Yankee Stadium in spectacular fashion.

Michael Pineda pitched a good game, giving up 4 hits and 2 runs in 5 strong innings, fanning 9 but the offense couldn't manage to score any runs. When Garcia took over, he immediately gave up 2 more runs but managed to stay solid until the 9th from then on. 4-0 Angels.

When all hope seemed lost in the bottom of the 9th with 2 outs, Cano singled to center for a base hit and Granderson hit a 2-run dinger to right to cut the lead to 2.

After Teixeira and A-Rod both singled, Derek Jeter became the hero, blasting a 3-run walk-off homerun into left. I can't even remember how many times I fistpumped

I started my franchise with the Show 12'. I am using the Braves.

                              Lineup:
                              1. Bourn
                              2. Chipper
                              3. B Mac
                              4. Uggla
                              5. Freeman
                              6. prado
                              7. Heyward
                              8. Pastornicky
                              9. Pitcher

                              Pitching Rotation
                              1. Hudson
                              2. Hanson
                              3. JJ
                              4. Beachy
                              5. Minor

The first game got smoked by the Mets 9-1. I was basically no hit until the top of 8th, Freeman came thru with a solo shot. That was the highlight.

The 2nd game vs. the Mets. It was a duel between Hanson & Dickey. The knuckleballer is a payne is a@#. I lost 3-2. Freeman was 3-4, he had a 3B,1B(2). Uggla hit his first HR. Kimbrel blew the save, by giving up a 2SFB that was meant for the inside to Bay floated back over the plate for a 2R HR. Hairston did me in with a solo shot in extra innings. I exprienced the pimp duck walk to home plate. Its cool.

The game is playing beautifully @ the default settings. All-star pitching, veteran hitting and meter pitching.
