UGH!!!! DON'T TRADE IN GAMES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! !!!!!!!

Sell your games you don't want anymore on craigslist or Ebay. How many times do I need to post the same thing?

Well no, honestly I didn't.. But I sure thought it would be better for the package than what amounted to less than $4 per game.

No big deal. Will C-list them. Some kid will love 'em for $10

A lot of the times I would agree with you. But in this case, no way; I just got $12 at Gamestop for MLB 11 and put it towards MLB 12.

By the time anybody would have to wait on somebody to buy it, then pay to ship it, you'd get the same amount as a trade-in for MLB 11 and go through twice the trouble.

^^I've seen 11 for $15-20 on CL. So that's at least $3 more and at most $8 more CASH than what you got for store credit. CL is pretty much always the better way to get money for games you don't want anymore.

For me, trading in games to GameStop is actually rewarding. I always use in-store credit option which nets you more value. You get about 1/3 of what the game sells for on the shelf. Now you can laugh if it makes you feel better, but I have cashed in on their rewards program, and saved about $500 per year on my video game budget! Maybe it's because I shop their a lot, I spend about $1000 a year on video games. I can see how the 1 or 2 games a year person would not benefit, and feel as if they are being cheated. To be fair, I never have used craigslist for anything other than rescuing animals for my wife and her job, so I can't say it's stupid to use their site... I just prefer trade ins.

OK, so you could possibly get a few extra dollars out of it--dollars that would be used to ship the game to the buyer. And you get cash, sure. But that cash would be used to buy MLB 12 at Gamestop...

Like I said earlier: I agree with you in a lot of instances. However, the difference is pretty much insignificant here.

I also did the Best Buy thing and got the extra 50%. Traded in The Show, NBA 2K as well as Tiger Woods and received $60.00.

I use to trade in my games at Gamestop, but Best Buy offers more money especially when they have a promotion.

Is Best Buy offering the 50% trade-in credit now currently?

No; It was last week when I saw the 50% promotion and took advantage at that time. I saw in this morning's Sunday paper that BB reverted back to offering 40%.

I still have 08, 09, 10, and 11. I figure that I might as well just keep them, considering I would get hardly any money for them now. I might give my friend 11 when I get 12 since he only has 10.
