Re: Vita Impressions thread
These latest pics look much better. Remember we are viewing the crowd behind home plate through a netting thus I presume some of the blockiness is due to that.Originally posted by ImTellinTimIf I lived in Waco, I would find you and kick you right in the nuts.Comment

Re: Vita Impressions thread
I'm not calling anyone out or a liar, but I am confused how can these two pics be from the same game...(same angle) Please OP...don't take it that way at all.

Re: Vita Impressions thread
What the hell is up with this thread?!
In all seriousness, the only thing I wonder that will concern me is the framerate and ball size.
As for the framerate, I've been told with a smaller screen it simply doesn't matter. Wrong. Framerate is one thing that is not screen-dependent to make it look better or worse. I've always prided The Show for its great framerate, and it's something that has helped it along the way have "stellar visuals." It's almost as if I wonder if a COD Vita game would look as good if it ran at 30 FPS or something.
The ball size is the other thing. I know the "lowest common denominator" talk and I'll have to live with that, but the problem isn't that the ball size is so big, it's more so that it just doesn't shrink as it gets further from the camera. You're stuck in "static big ball mode" where it wouldn't look like it's creating distance between itself and you. I'm certain that I'll get use to it, but I'm also in the "let's make an option next year" mindset, if that's at all achievable to make happen with very small development time.
I also just must say that I'm going to miss the full presentation, but that might just be me. Again, an option would be nice. If they came out and said that the added commentary with that would just be too much for the game, then that makes sense. Otherwise, it just sticks on my wishlist even if they don't want it themselves.
I can't wait to pick this and the PS3 version up on Tuesday, but if the graphics look like that, someone's gonna get it!Samsung PN60F8500 PDP / Anthem MRX 720 / Klipsch RC-62 II / Klipsch RF-82 II (x2) / Insignia NS-B2111 (x2) / SVS PC13-Ultra / SVS SB-2000 / Sony MDR-7506 Professional / Audio-Technica ATH-R70x / Sony PS3 & PS4 / DirecTV HR44-500 / DarbeeVision DVP-5000 / Panamax M5400-PM / Elgato HD60Comment

Re: Vita Impressions thread
I got a bit concerned about the perceived poor quality of the Vita screenshots, so I decided to do this myself (not with the Show which I don't have, with Uncharted).Comment

Re: Vita Impressions thread
Nope, none of the shots are by iPhone - all done by the Vita ingame screenshot facility (Vita button + start), then using content manager to move the image file to Mac then uploaded here...Comment

Re: Vita Impressions thread
Hmm, maybe a developer has to come on here and explain how this mishap occurred. Maybe the physical cartridge is having some accessing issues. I wonder if the digital version will be the same come Tuesday.Samsung PN60F8500 PDP / Anthem MRX 720 / Klipsch RC-62 II / Klipsch RF-82 II (x2) / Insignia NS-B2111 (x2) / SVS PC13-Ultra / SVS SB-2000 / Sony MDR-7506 Professional / Audio-Technica ATH-R70x / Sony PS3 & PS4 / DirecTV HR44-500 / DarbeeVision DVP-5000 / Panamax M5400-PM / Elgato HD60Comment

I wonder if his game maybe didn't install correctly or something. He must have bought the physical media, right?

The detail in that is such a low quality its very very poor. Something you would have seen years ago, not on a high power console.Comment

Re: Vita Impressions thread
The first one above, I just saved the screenshot and no editing. The second one, I scaled it very roughly to the size of Vita screen, with only linear interpolations.
So partly the reason why we see poor quality is that we are magnifying the image took in Vita... so you are seeing the pores of an actress, if you will.
And I thought Uncharted look beautiful really. And I went "WHAT?" with the original screenshot. So I'm not worried too much.Comment

pboreham, would you mind upping another shot with Colon from that angle?
The second set of screens you posted truly are night and day from the first. The crowd looks like Lego in both, but the player models are years apart. I'm totally cool with the second set.Comment
