All good reasons except for the Astros in the AL. They have one more season in the NL central. They move for the 2013 season.

If they offered an add-in with all of that stuff you mentioned for $60.00 to add to last year's versions, many people would NOT have paid it who will buy it this year, including me....Is it worth the money? Probably not. Will most of us do it? Yes...because we can't help it.
      Lol...
The physics alone make the game a must buy over 11. Baseball is a game of math and physics in a LARGE way.. When the physics are redone and redone in a huge way that give realistic ball reactions, it's a pretty big freaking deal.

Yes the graphics are amazing in The Show. The animations. The little things. The game is amazing, but there are in fact issues with the game. I won't even go into about the commentary which has been the same for 2 years, and it's not even that great to begin with.

It's going to take alot more than just ball physics, lighting and some new animations to warrant a purchase from me this year.

This isn't a comparison, but the commentary in 2k12 alone is utterly jaw dropping. It even beats NBA 2k commentary which was the leader.

I understand the reasoning behind VITA, but to let The Show improvements take a back seat this year is mind boggling.
Then don't buy it. Why should anyone try to convince you to buy a game ?

I was thinking the same thing as far as the title of this thread. I played the game at bestbuy and the game didn't feel much different from 11 as far as gameplay, but everyone is entitled to their own opinion. The game did look beautiful though...
NBA2K is the standard of sports games period.

what is the point of this thread??? Should I create a thread stating there are enough improvements for me to justify a purchase? Rent the game and then decide, in the end who cares.

If you want to purchase an inferior game based on commentary more power to you.

I think for whatever reason you're bending over backwards to undersell the Shows improvements, and you're focusing on the singular thing 2k does better. Why? I don't know.

As I said if commentary is that important to you, sounds like your choice is easy and your mind is made up. Enjoy 2k12.

What does commentary have to do with "simness"?

Yea, I was scratching my head at that post.

People will justify their decisions any way they want.

I was wondering the same thing, until impressions started flooding in. I think the overall consensus is that the game kicks major butt, and it's worth every penny!

I was on the fence about getting this years game. Then, last week I played a few innings at Best Buy. I loved the pulse pitching and zone hitting. Those improvements alone, IMO, justify a purchase. Not to mention the improved ball physics, and lighting.

It is clear that a select few in where have not played this years game, and if they had, they spent NO real time with last years.

Because if they truly did, they would not say the gameplay felt the same, when the mass majority noticed a different on the first at bat, and as well as the first time the ball was in play.

But people need to voice their justification as to why they really do not want to purchase something. And posting it on Internet, hoping to get a like minded person or two, will help ease their mind.

Because all I keep seeing them say is "$60" or "$65" when it has been more than clear that people have pre-ordered on various sites for less than $48.

                          Excuses, excuses.

Just wanted to thank those that have shared their experiances with the game so far. Having played just a handful of games on 10 and skipping 11 altogether, I am very excited about what 12 has to offer.

Forgive me in advance. Someone close this thread. He is like me I do not have the game to base a true impression of set game. I am buying the game anyway. I am a fan of the product. To to start a thread for this purpose eventhough its free is pointless. There is a Best Buy thread that everyone has placed their opinions about the kiosk..
