Is there enough improvements in MLB 12 to justify a purchase

I played the game at Best Buy today and played through 7 innings, and I while I admire the ball physics, some different stat overlays, everything else seemed the same from last year.

I'm not sure if this is enough to justify a purchase of MLB 12.

What do you guys think?

I think it's worth the purchase, there's a LOT of new things dude besides the ball physics and stats over lays.

Hell I can list a few right now
- MORE animations
- NEW game mode
- NEW commentary (though we won't hear ALL 'till the last quarter of the year like I always have)
- BETTER online from what I heard
- NEW batting stances including follow throughs

Pretty much the only thing I see in this game that we saw last year was pretty much the commentary apart from some new ones. It's definitely worth a purchase dude, as well as every other year because these guys don't do a Copy & Paste and rename it to "12,13,14,15 The Show" they add many new things.

It depends on what kind of improvements you were wanting. If you were expecting franchise improvements, probably not. It seemed this was sacrificed so they could get on board with Vista. I'm a PS3 owner so them getting on board with Vista does nothing for me.

Nobody can answer that question for you, but to me it's an easy yes. It's like asking if it's worth watching real life baseball every year or buying tickets to attend because it's the same sport etc. lol

To me, every year the game has gotten better in one way or another, and I appreciate the nice touches year in and year out.

saying yes would be an understatement. Having had the game all weekend. The Lighting alone would warrant a purchase it has to be witnessed by all.

well, there is a new team/stadium in miami, a revamped stadium in new york, the astros in the AL (not sure if there'll be a patch), and two new wc spots. that on top of everything they added, of course im buying the game

I think Diamond Dynasty is enough to make it a buy. Hopefully its as good as I think it will be.

Online now has dedicated servers. Where in the past it was peer to peer.

I'd buy the game even if the only thing they added was the new true to life ball physics. That will change the gameplay immensely. All the comments from people who already have the game and played more than 2 or 3 games will support what I'm talkin' about.

My original plan was skip this year, I made the mistake of going to Best Buy and played it. I was sold. I would definitely buy it.
