I made myself as close as possible to my own skill set. He's a 1B/IF, low power potential, but always makes solid contact and somehow always manages to put a good bat on the ball and get it in play. So far I'm hitting .280 with 3 HR's and 20ish RBI's just past the all-star break in double A.

Re: MLB 12 The Show: Road to the Show Thread
I created myself as a CF now that my name is in the database. It is so cool to hear my name being said on the game, it just adds so much to RTTS for me.
I was drafted by the Indians and through April I'm batting around .260 with 1hr and 16rbi. I play on all star level with analog batting.
One thing I like this year is that I have batted everywhere in the lineup except 3rd or 4th. I'm usually at the 6, 7, or 8 spot, but depending on how I'm hitting, the manager moves you around.Comment

Re: MLB 12 The Show: Road to the Show Thread
Started a SS, drafted by the Twins. First season was awful, I couldnt buy a hit, got hurt in June when I was batting .203 then when I returned in August I got it up to .250. When my second season started I was hot. Hit .353 in the first 3 weeks, called up to AAA, was the back up SS for 2 weeks adn then the Twins purchased my contract.
Only bad thing is I have gotten only 2 starts in 3 weeks up with the twins. And they are horrible.NCAA: Missouri Tigers

Re: MLB 12 The Show: Road to the Show Thread
Made a LF and was drafted by the Marlins. After about 25 games I am hitting around .370 and just had a 16 game hit streak ended.
A cool thing was I got my first hit off someone I played against in college that I couldn't hit when I played him in college.Comment

Re: MLB 12 The Show: Road to the Show Thread
It's called being a BEAST!!!
I ended up having to quit this guy. I had his contact up to 90 on both sides and his power up to 70 and everything I hit was damn fly ball or a groundout. I went from hitting .380 to .275.
Is anyone else having this problem? I cannot catch a break. It seems like everything I hit is a ground ball or a flyout. Like I said my contact was a 90 on both sides and 70 power on both sides.
I am playing on rookie with timing hitting.Detroit Tigers|Detroit Reds Wings|Green Bay PackersComment

Re: MLB 12 The Show: Road to the Show Thread
Hit my first walk-off homer last night while in AA. It was such an awesome feeling and the presentation of me rounding the bases to meeting my teammates at home plate was epic. I never hit a walk-off homer in RTTS last year and this celebration was different from the one during a walk-off in franchise from last year. At that point, I was emotionally involved with my player and my RTTS.Comment

You go through slumps.......Ive experienced this from last year and eventually was able to work myself out of it without making any real changes. It's called being a BEAST!!!

But I mean I am playing on ROOKIE! and I cannot hit water if I fell into a lake. I have my guy with great contact and some power. Seriously!! Why is it everything I hit is a groundout. I cannot even get the ball out of the infield.Detroit Tigers|Detroit Reds Wings|Green Bay PackersComment

Re: MLB 12 The Show: Road to the Show Thread
I started a Power Hitting first baseman. Strength to the max, Power to the Max and glove to the max.
I was drafted to the Pirates and played every other game while trying to achieve my advancement goals. I was raking it AA. So I did that for the first two months then got traded to the Phillies and brought up to AAA.
I am raking no more. Coming off the bench and I have struck out 6 times in 11 at bats with 1 hit. If I dont pick it up soon I fear I will be sent back down to AA.

CF/2B (What I played in highschool) drafted by STL. After first AA game, I was called up to AAA to fill in at 2B. (Injuries I assume)
Not bad
