After getting traded around a million (drafted by Astros, traded to the Rays, Brewers, and Cubs) times before landing on the White Sox roster, buried as the 4th 3rd baseman on the roster I asked for a position change to short and got it. Played pretty well at the last month of the season, got re-signed during the off season and dealt two weeks before spring training to the Mets.

Re: MLB 12 The Show: Road to the Show Thread
After making the Bigs at the start of 2012 with the Rays, I am still on the Big League Club come July. I am batting around .220 with only 2 HR and 16 RBI. I have been coming off the bench all year, pinch-hitting and starting against LHP.
I am the best 2B on the team (as Ben Zobrist is a RF, yet starts as 2B) but have yet to get the nod as the starter. I don't mind as I believe I will struggle and this gives me time to up my attributes. I do wish I could have had a chance to win ROTY though, as I won it in 2011 with my guy (who was in San Diego last year, batting a crazy .322 with 37 HR and 111 RBI - I used 'e-roids' though).Brewers | Golden Eagles | Packers | Bucks | Badgers | Fulham FC

Re: MLB 12 The Show: Road to the Show Thread
****ing ****. After throwing 7 innings of 3-hit, shutout ball (allowing 1 walk and striking out 8), I get the no decision because the scrubs on my team couldn't muster a single run. We end up scoring 1 in the 8th and the pitcher who threw the 8th got the W. fmlSan Francisco 49ers

Well in my third start of the year at Philly.. I get my first loss and the season, in the 1st inning the 1B makes an error and then he ends up scoring.. I lose a game 1-0 and the run wasn't even earned and how we couldn't score a SINGLE RUN! Ugh.. Stat line is 6.0/ 0 ER/ 3 SO/ 5 Hits allowed and an L.. Fantastic!Favorite Teams:

Re: MLB 12 The Show: Road to the Show Thread
Kenny Powers is finally in the majors. Spent all of 2013 in AAA for the D-Backs, got traded in June to the braves. Signed a contract in the off-season to be the MLB setup, which i've never done before. enjoying it so far but my team is horrible, they're like 8-17.Cardinals

Re: MLB 12 The Show: Road to the Show Thread
I'm loving this game. In my second season as a 2B doing well in AAA with the Yankees. I've been tossed around a lot - traded by the Cubs to the Twins and then to the Yankees. I plan to move to SS if I stick with the Yankees and aim to take over when Jeter retires.
I haven't gotten promoted as quickly as I would have liked, but I have a really hard time drawing walks. It's rare for me to get 4 balls, even if I take strikes and foul off a few strikes as well. I have all the relevant sliders set to 1 for opposing pitchers and I still can't seem to draw walks. At least I hit well, but it's hard to reach my goals which always demand that I walk.
Another thing - has anyone gotten the fast forward though base running to work. I had it set to only see 1/4 and I still see every pitch while on base. And for some reason more often than not I get to watch an 8 pitch strike out. It really drags it on.
Other than those two things I'm loving this game. Anyone have ideas on how to tweak it to get around those issues?Comment

Re: MLB 12 The Show: Road to the Show Thread
It's been awhile so let me update you guys. I am still playing 1B in AA, near the end of the season, but no longer for the Indians, instead i got traded to the Mariners for some scrub 3B last night. I think I will get called up to the Show following this season because I am the best rated 1B on the roster and I am also one of the best rated players on the entire Mariners roster. I can't find Ichiro on the roster so I guess they must have dealt him in a different trade.
Anyway here are my stats nearing the end of the season
AVG: .438
HR: 58
RBI: 187
Now before you start non-believing, the reason for the monster stats is because AA is too easy compared to the MLBComment

Re: MLB 12 The Show: Road to the Show Thread
Finished up my Rookie Campaign with a .231 AVG, 2 HR and 21 RBI. After the year (we were NO WHERE near playoff contention), the Rays offered me a 1-year AA STARTER CONTRACT. Being that it was the only thing I could take, my hand was forced.
Greatly enough, I made the team out of Spring Training and am starting off 2014 in the MLB, coming off the bench.
I'm hoping that my AVG will continue to climb, but I'm hoping that the power numbers will be coming soon!Brewers | Golden Eagles | Packers | Bucks | Badgers | Fulham FC
