I have played 7 games online so far. 5 were completed, 1 was a disconnect and the other was a friendly quit because my opponent ran out of time (I knew when we started that we might not finish). Each and every game has been lag free including the game that got disconnected. So I cannot complain about online with respect to lag. I will say that I feel the timing window is "off", for lack of a better word, for hitting online. I am late on just about everything, especially fastballs. Offline I feel the timing window works fine. Also I feel there is a power outage online. I have hit a total of ONE HR so far. I can't even recall giving up any HRs and if I have it couldn't be more than one or two max. In the first inning of my DD game, which was offline, I hit a HR. Other than the timing window issue and power issue I LOVE this game. It is shear baseball heaven. Once I start my online league, I am confident, that with slider adjustments, the timing window issue and the power issue will be rectified. Oh, and by the way, each and every game was cheese free because I only play people from OS.

This is my exact experience. It's definitely attributed to lag and the way this game works online though. While most games it doesn't stall, or stutter, it doesn't mean their isn't lag or latency issues, or just the net code, something is just "off" with online play.

Just played a 22 inning game vs. the Marlins and he had solid lag, yellow bar all game. We each left around 9 men on base, but hitting is definitely a lil bit difficult online!

Last night I tried twice to play a game against a friend of mine. Both times I choose the Marlins. Both times after I selected day game, cloudy it went to the stadium and we had a view from home plate and then nothing. The wrap around scoreboard (or whatever it's called) was working, flashing stuff so I would not say the game froze. It was weird just the stadium, with no players at all. Anyway I got one disconnect and one loss. Also right before this happened I was in my league lobby and could not send an exhibition challenge. We both had to exit the league lobby and then I could send an exhibition challenge. Maybe that had something to do with it, not sure. I guess I should post in the bug thread.

it seems that analog swinging has a delay in recognition of when swinging. no matter how fast or early i push up, 85% of time im late on pitches. especially fastballs, which is usually very late. I believe this is how it was last year and they were able to correct it. but ive play 15 games and really havent had a game be unplayable due to lag. Only had 1 d/c.

Also, any way to help stop ppl who feel the need to steal with everyone no matter what. Where im stepping off before every pitch and pitching out and they still get the steal. And something about slow animations allowing ppl to score from 2nd on an infield hit or bunt.

I just posted this in the main forum and was referred here. There is no way I'm the only person having this problem tonight and I had to vent. I just spent 20-25 straight minutes just trying to LOAD my online franchise attempting to play a game. In that time I was only able to actually get the franchise to load 3 TIMES! Each time I was booted out because of "lost connection" very shortly after. I was never able to play a game and finally gave up.

This is ridiculous. I read and read about how much better the online experience was supposed to be this year but so far it hasn't been anywhere close to the experience I had with last year's game. Sadly these problems haven't just been limited to tonight either, although tonight is as bad as I've seen them since last week. I spent $65 on this game and expect it to work, it's infuriating when you have no chance of playing something you spent that much money on.

Played a great game with Nem tonight (My 3rd in a row with no lag at all) Won but I needed a robbed 2R HR and after a botched double play attempt in the 9th I finally settled down and got the last 2 hitters.

this game is just terrible with hitting online .. everything else is fine but when it comes to hitting, it's just atrocious on how bad the lag/latency is .. every swing is either too late, very late or late .. I am an avid online player and mlb 11 the show was an amazing experience online .. unfortunately the same can't be said about Mlb 12 .. I hope there's a fix to this

You thought 11 was amazing? Ever since I have adjusted my timing slightly, I have had great results. Hitting is a timing game and the timing in online vs offline just wont be exactly the same. You just have to make adjustments to your timing. JMO

Even when the lag isn't unbearable, the hitting is so weak. The ball comes off the bat with no pop.

I have played two games and they have both been smooth. I am using a wireless connection and have thoroughly enjoyed both games. The second game did take a few attempts to get into the game but once in there were no issues. I agree that the ball didn't have much pop, but it is more than likely my lack of PCI placement. In the two games a total of 7 runs have been scored (3-0, 3-1).

I'll reserve judgment for when I get 10+ games deep into online.

I'm seeing some nice pop. In game last night I had a shot in gap for a double and a hr that hit 3/4 way up fouls pole just to name a couple.

Online gameplay for me has been great but i just can't stand users stealing every second they can. i played 6 games and each game, i encounter numerous users just trigger(stealing) happy. Just makes online unplayable.

Online gameplay for me has been great but i just can't stand users stealing every second they can. i played 6 games and each game, i encounter numerous users just trigger(stealing) happy. Just makes online unplayable.

Vary your pitch timing. Hold the ball a bit before you throw (In other words, don't fast pitch). They can time you easily. As soon as they early steal, step off the rubber and get them in a run down. Once you do this a couple times, they won't be so eager to steal anymore.
