Started off using Catcher Offset but switched to Offset.

Default gets the edge over catcher classic for me, helps me time pitches better.

ive only used default so far and i draw walks. i seem to be able to judge the ball a LOT better this year. pitch speed is on default as well

I have been using the Classic catcher but will do some testing. I am all about realism so I will post if I come up with anything guys.

Distance

It's tough for me to judge, but is the new Catcher Cam on the PS3 the same as the Vita's Catcher Cam?

I believe so. If not, they are very close.

Custom camera offset to the inside, but I'm getting dominated this year so far, even with the same "dumbed down" settings/sliders I used last year. I may have to drop to a lower difficulty level.

Question for all of you. With the camera you are using, can you see the spin of the ball (to determine whether a ball is off speed or not)? I could have sworn the first day I had the game using default I could read the spin, but now I just can't. Can anyone else?

I was having a hard time hitting this year in both the ps3 and vita versions and decided to mess with the camera views. I tried almost all of them and even custom cams but nothing really helped. I then tried offset and zone hitting and I started to make great contact and was crushing the ball.

I went into batting practice and tried this out and I was able to get 15/20 successes for timing and made 11/20 for contact. I was on all star all default. I also tried this view on the vita and hit 2 hrs and beat the angels 4 -1 in an exhibition game. My strikeouts have also decreased. The one thing I need to work on is being more patient and to lay off the high pitches. I'm going to try this view I'm my test franchise with the Rockes.

I like the default Catcher cam, but I love Catcher Classic.

I'm using Wide with the camera way back and with a pretty good offset. So far..so good

(its a little dark) But thats the view i use. Gives good high and low cov, and makes the lefty right battles matter a little more because of the angle.

I have tried other cameras, even custom ones, but I just come back to default Catcher every time. It's simply a really good camera angle.

I'm an offset cam lover. So sad Offset 5 is gone this year. Or most offset views for that matter. I like how offset introduces platoon differences in pitch recognition.
