What hitting option are you using?

I'd really like to know what most people are using on this forum. I really, really want to use analog hitting but I'm simply terrible. I spend too much time worrying about my stride and it messes me up on my swing.

I've been trying to use zone analog hitting but I do not think I'm capable of doing this. I think I'm going to have to stick with simple zone hitting.

Zone.

I'm like you swing stick just has never worked for me, I do the same thing and try to time my stride then my swing is horrid.

I don't hit very well with zone even so far but analog hitting is definitely not for me.

Timing here w/out a doubt. I even suck at that, don't even ask how I hit w/ analog. I'm pathetic.

I use zone+analog, because I like striking out apparently :P


Actually, I find the other options too easy and I like the added difficulty. I had to lower the pitch speed though.

I use timing on my offline stuff but I'll use zone online. Maybe because I have no choice.

I find my problem with hitting (zone) is that I am pressing the swing button and the left analog stick (in the direction of the ball) at the same time.

The game mechanics really do not allow for this. You have to have your PCI in the correct location before you press X to swing. The result for me is good timing with poor contact quite often. I often have a ball up or down in the zone that I recognize and time correctly. However I am one millisecond off from pushing the analog stick in the corresponding direction.

The result is that my PCI is almost always just dead center in the zone. I really wish that zone would allow for a little larger window for moving the PCI, even DURING the swing.
