Throwing to the Cut Off Man

My biggest gripe with MLB The Show has always been that it does not allow for a cut off man to cut a ball off if you have already chosen to throw to a base. I like being able to throw to a cut off man, but I wish that if I made the decision to throw it home and while the ball was in the air I could make my cut off man, cut the ball off and go to a different base. Of course he wouldn't be able to cut it off every time but if he's lined up it should work.

MVP Baseball used to allow this and I thought it was a bit of a no brainer yet it's never been done by the MLB The Show series. regardless of that, it's an amazing baseball game.

I'm pretty sure you can have the cut off man catch it. You have to push R2 while the ball is in the air.

Computer automatically cuts it off for me if it isn't going to make it to the plate, but I have fielding assists on. As the user above pointed out, there is probably a button that allows you to do so.

Nope, again, if my outfielder has the ball, I can press R2 to throw it to a cut off man, if I have already pressed a based, there is no way, I see that I can have my infielder cut off the throw, mid-flight.

That option is not in the game. The developers said the animations looked very awkward when they enabled it. Maybe one day they will get it in.
