Yeah you're right (as always haha). Didn't think of his health issue over the past years

I simmed a month ahead to the trade deadline, and an update:

Martinez got on a hot streak, so the Astros would probably ask for a bit more value. Same with CarGo, but the Rockies are somehow still in first.

I guess Bay might be my best solution. He may have that bad contract, and he is struggling so far (.269/9/34), but buying low on him might be the best option as I can't stand Davis starting.

      Thanks, guys!

Playing a fantasy draft franchise, in mid June now. I'd like to move Clayton Kershaw for prospects. I don't play every game but I do play at least 1 per series or more and I just don't enjoy playing as him. He gives up 1 hit and his confidence tanks bad.

I'm a contender, but I believe I can still contend without Kershaw. I'm using Scott's latest roster set. Here's Kershaw's stats:

        5-2, 77.1IP, 3.84 ERA, 12 games, 85SO, 23BB, 1.36WHIP, .270 average against him.

I'm expecting a fairly big price tag, what do you guys think he's worth? I'm definitely sending him to the other league.

Who knows, a change of scenery and coming back to his native Canada might do him some good. Nice twist that you'll feature both Lawrie and Bay on your roster. I say trade for Morneau at the deadline as well

Taking on a contract like that is never easy and especially not when the guy isn't puttin up the numbers he's paid for. Worth the gamble though like you say since you're getting him with a discount

Based that historically a trade deadline ace typically gets 4 B prospects but you can only do 3 players plus Kershaw's age/team control remaining, I'll say 1 A prospect and either 2 MLB players OR 2 more prospects.

So either 3 A prospects or up to 2 MLB players plus prospects for 3 total players.

That's three to four could be good players for arguably the best pitcher in the league.

You don't trade Kershaw unless youre getting multiple As back.

Except the M's for example turned down 4 to 6 A's for Felix. Texieara pulled 3 A's so please explain yourself because if you offered two B's and an A to the Dodgers they'd hang up on you and block your calls for life

Hey atleast you got it.... Exactly you can't give up that kind of talent for 1 guy you MIGHT be an allstar and two guy who MIGHT be solid guys. But he has his own opinion

One of the best pitchers in the league and 23 years old equals > 3 A's.

Does anyone really care where I sent this from?

The guy is a 24 year old Cy Young winner coming off an incredible season, who probably has a great contract in the game. You should get 3 A prospects in return, which is definitely what the Dodger's would expect.

I'll be more specific--an A prospect plus either two current MLB players with B current overalls OR two more A prospects. I can see where I caused confusion.

Yet, I have to criticize your comparisons. 1--those were rumors and no team has 4 to 6 A's they could/would give for Felix as there are only about 20 A rated prospects IRL and 2--the Teixeira trade is infamous for how bad it was on the Braves part when the going rate for deadline rental players has historically been 1 B+, 2 B's, and 1 B-.

                            PS. The Braves gave up 2 A's, 2 B's, and a mid-low C for Teixeira, not 4 A's.

You sure about that? I see a lot of B's there...like Syndergaard doesn't have the ceiling for an Ace pitcher so he can't be an A but we're getting off track now (although I'd gladly take all of those into my farm system except for Anthony [Gorkys Hernandez] Gose).
