I have a quick question regarding how people here handle cpu-trades in their franchise? I play with 30-team control, but I have the cpu teams all set to auto so they tend to do some awful trades.

I turned CPU trading off... Players change teams in FA quite often, so there's variety, and the trades are just so, so, so, so, so, so,so,so,so,so,so,so,SO bad.

I've had experiences where the Blue Jays gave up three A's for Oliver Perez. That makes me want to punch a Yankee fan. (Well, I always want to do that. )

I see... I always check the trade proposed screen before I go forward to the next day in game and so I have the control to accept or decline as I see fit. I just started up a new franchise, and as I don't have the (by far) the same knowledge as some of you guys in here I tend to find it hard to decide if a trade offer is good or no good in terms of realism and fairness. You think it would be okay if I asked in here as the trades I'm unsure of myself is presented to me in-game?

Just traded a one (B) prospect and two (C) prospects for Nick Hundley, J. Barlett, J.Hermida from the Padres.

I think you overpaid a little.

Hermida and Bartlett are fair for two C's. One could argue that a low B (don't know what kind of B it was in this case) is fair for Hundley as he's signed through 2015 at only 3 million/year

I'm new to this and Thread. I was doing some searching and then I found this thread. I'm an avid Ranger fan and Had some questions about trades. I love pitching with Yu and holland and harrison. I'm looking to add another really great pitcher to my team. Does anyone have any suggestions like maybe Lincicum or Lee? What would it take to get ones. If I'm not in the right part that's fine just let me know where. I'm made some other trades and added some prospects.

Ehh, B's are more valuable than a lot of people take them to be IMO.

                        Welcome to OS!

Lee, Lincecum, and James Shields are all good options. Maybe also Jake Peavy, and Zack Grienke?

Out of those guys, we'll need to know how well they're playing to know how much they'd cost.

                          Thank you

Well I have the post trade deadline rosters so the Angels already have Grienke so He's out of the question. I had Dempster but sent him to the Dodgers and then they trade of their SP right away. I believe it was Harrang I think but not sure. I'm just starting the season but I'm using the post deadline rosters so in a way I'm starting a season with a twist. I'm trying to make a big deal before I go all out on my season.

I would wait until June to make a trade.

Ahh ok, but I'm doing it now instead of then. What kind of deal for Lee or Lincicum?

I'm also untreated in maybe Sale or Hernandez? What kind of package like 3 a prospects or what. I'm not untreated in names really just value so I don't feel I'm ripping off the computer.
