Oh, didn't read that part. Still, though, they have Reyes for like 17 years.

Iglesias' defensive value would be wasted completely at 2nd, not AS much at 3rd, but still wasted significantly

I'm just extremely anti-Iglesias. Don't like the hit tool. I'd take Allen Webster/Henry Owens/Jackie Bradley/Brandon Jacobs over him.

i'd certainly take most of those prospects over Iglesias as well....dont know if the poster would be willing to alter the proposal assuming he didnt make the trade yet

                    What hit tool?

The sad part is he's a borderline A overall if you give him his proper defensive ratings, so he'll actually regress some.

If the M's wanted Stanton what I've heard as fair is Hultzen, Franklin, Maurer, Romero, Thames

                      Touche!

I doubt he hits enough to stick.

Maurer?!?! I've heard you guys love him. But that seems like 3 A's and 2 B's with a throw in as Thames, I'd probably be giving them Smoak in his place.

Injury history keeps Maurer around the B/B- level, Hultzen and Franklin are both A- IMO, and Romero is a solid B. I'm really hesitant to give up on Smoak because he keeps on teasing us with his potential, but his value is way down so he could probably be swapped in too.

Aren't they moving the fences in at Safeco? That'll help Smoak.

I guess Franklin Gutierrez could be the 'above-average' player in the deal instead of smoak.

Dave Cameron: I've already seen a bunch of them. The problem is that every team in baseball would be interested, so the price would be insane. Whatever you think it would cost in terms of prospects, double it.
For those of you looking for a realistic value on Stanton, use this as a guideline.

Knowing Loria, he'd give him up for 3 B's
But let's say he got fired...

IMO it'd be much more than that. Much, much more than that. But 35 gave the fair value.
