I aways use contact swing( O button) with 2 strikes on me.

Give it a try and see if u like it, i think i found the perfect balance for what i was looking for: not to many hits and specially my every year problem with the show: NOT TO MANY SINGLES... so far im getting about 7-10 hits per game with 3-4 extra base hits wich is perfect imo.
Thank you so much for finding and posting these slider settings!!!

I use them in my RTTS for my SS (and will use them in my franchise too when I start that). I used Timing before but only found it frustrating for the reasons sited in this thread and more. I switched to Zone hitting for a while and saw some limited better results, but focusing on placing the PCI and getting the timing right proved to much for my aging brain most times.

I moved back to Timing with these sliders and now am having a blast and getting very realistic play/results. I go 2-4, 2-5, 1-4, 1-3, etc for hitting in games with a good variety of gappers, singles, dribbles up the middle for a base, flyouts, liners, etc.

I'm having the most fun yet playing my SS. Here's a toast to you

      Re: Timing Hitting Help

I'm wondering if anyone may have a similar issue to the one I seem to be having with my Timing hitting this year.

I was hitting well for like a month or so in my season.
Then I went through a stretch where I couldn't hit at all, and my power numbers were a bit low......I realized I was late on just about everything, so instead of making any great changes I moved pitch speed down from 4 to 3.

That helped bump my power to a realistic stat range.....it also helped my hitting a ton and I was back where I should be.

The only problem is now about a month or so later in my season, on 3 pitch speed, I'm back to being late and can't turn on a fastball.
It's the oddest thing lol......Really don't have an explanation for it. It's really like the more I play the game the worse I get and need to take a break from the game.
I try to "practice" or change things up a bit to get back to good/perfect timing, but that tends to get me chasing bad breaking pitches since I'm trying to swing earlier.

At this point I'm just going to try to take a good approach and play through it. I don't really want to mess with sliders and what not 100 games in........It's just gotten a bit frustrating at times so wanted to vent.....and like I said, if anyone possibly has similar problems, interested what you do to remedy the situation.
