Re: RTTS: Anyone not get traded?

With my SP RTTS guy for the Red Sox (my favorite) I didn't get traded. Worked my buttons off though. Spent 3 starts in AA than the rest in AAA because even though I was improving and meeting my goals they always sent me a 'Nearing Promotion' email, despite the fact that I was an 85 by the time the All-Star break rolled around. Anyway re-signed, and made the Sox Opening Day roster from Spring Training as a reliever, before finally making the rotation after 7 relief appearances.

With my 3B RTTS guy, I was traded a month into the season from the Cardinals to the Indians. Initially, I was ecstatic since the Indians had poor depth at 3B at the MLB level, so I thought, 1 maybe 2 Goal Achievements cycles and off to AAA then The Show, but nope! Ended up spending an entire year miserable at AA, until Spring Training and sniping the starter role from Lonnie Chisenhall.

In my previous years experiences i rarely was ever traded unless i had a HUGE contract and was around 36-40 years old.
Dude, you and I switched teams and positions!

I was with the Braves AA team as an outfielder (lol), probably had no chance of making the Majors. Was tearing up in the first half of the season and got traded to the Indians in July for Nick Swisher and now playing AAA. Makes sense to me but some of these other trades don't.

Starting pitcher for the Indians. Best pitcher on the team. Been with them 4 years. Can't get traded to save my life. Demanding a trade only teases me. Can't find a suitable offer my rump. Haven't sniffed the playoffs in 3 years of service. Sick of this crappy team & I have 3 more years left. I feel like King Felix should IRL.

MY RTTS Right Fielder tore up AA and AAA and had a cup of coffee in the majors with the ChiSox as an 18 yr old. The next year I spent the entire year on the bench with Chicago, despite asking for a trade every opportunity (not sure why I wasnt starting in AAA if I was going to only get 92 ABs the whole year in the majors). I became a starter half way through year 3, and I'm now their franchise player in year 5. No need to be traded now.

I wouldn't lose hope yet. Last year I got traded to the Padres ..... I spent about 3 years with them. We were always dead last in the standings, no offense. I was the only one that would consistently get on base. Pitching wasn't even very good in one of the most prominent pitcher's parks.

I believe it was after my 3rd year in the offseason.. I got traded to the Rangers and then the Yankees within a week. That team was extremely stacked of course. Didn't have a problem scoring runs and winning after that.

I too was a starting pitcher with the Indians. But once my rookie deal was up and they had to offer me arbitration. They wanted me to sign a 1 yr 500k deal despite being 99 overall, I declined and went to arbitration.

Before arbitration hit in February, I was traded to the Giants where I signed a 3 yr 21M deal.

Thanks for the confidence boost. I hope I'm as lucky as you. The Tigers are too good. This team only sniffs 70 wins because the Twins are worse. Guess it could be worse. Could be a pitcher for the Twins.

Well if you don't get traded by the team you always want to get traded cuz your team is probably not that great. Thats atleast what always happens to me

I got drafted by the Cubs (as a SS), and I was pretty excited to try to work my way up and help end the Curse. I guess my enthusiasm wasn't shared by management - I got traded my first year, while I was still in AA, to the Mets. I was up to the majors by the end of August. Now I'm in my first offseason and the Mets want me to sign a 7 year deal for a little over $3 million? With them listing me as a AAA starter? I hit over .300 in my time in the majors, I am not taking my demotion well!

I was a pitcher for Cleveland for 16 straight years and no trades until they dealt me to the Bronx. I had to play out the 2 years on my contract left then I returned to Ohio. I felt that part of the reason they didn't deal me was my progression as I only played one season in the minors before promotion.

Surprisingly enough in my first MLB season (2014) we won the Series and then two years later repeated. It took another 17 years for a ring ,but that last one was worth it, As I walked off in the sunset like a true professional.

I am in my second full year (I have a 4 year contract) in the majors and my HOF Potential is about 1/3rd full and my overall is 95, Yankees do not dare trade me since no one else is nearly as good as I am.
Do you actually have fun like that letting down runs. I get so bored of that.
