Re: How long have you been playing Sony's MLB series?
My first MLB game was MLB 2000. The one with Mo Vaughn on the cover.
Since then, I have only missed MLB 2001 (Chipper Jones) and MLB 2006 (Vladimir Guerrero).Comment

Re: How long have you been playing Sony's MLB series?
I played MLB 98 on the PS1, and I've pretty much stuck with it since then with the exception of a few years in the early 00s.Comment

Since the last 2 from 989.
I posted here about the last one and was told "stay far from it!"
I only posted as I felt the last one was pretty good.
The rest is history.Joshua:

Re: How long have you been playing Sony's MLB series?
I played a few of the games on the PSOne back in the day at a friends' house, but the first game I owned was MLB 08 for the PSP.
Because of this game, I've bought a PSP, PS3 and now a Vita in the past 4 years

MLB 09 (PSP) (PS2)
MLB 10 (PS3) (PSP)

Re: How long have you been playing Sony's MLB series?
I used to play the 989 games from 98-2000 for PS1. Then went to Triple Play for a year, All-Star Baseball 02-03, MVP from 04-05. I got back to MLB 06 after 2K got the third-party license, but settled for 2K with my 360 for 07-08. Finally got back to MLB in 09 and have been loving it ever since.New York Giants -- 4-Time Super Bowl Champions (XXI, XXV, XLII, XLVI).
New York Mets. Also the Pittsburgh Pirates.

Re: How long have you been playing Sony's MLB series?
I bought mlb 2k9. It sucked. So. I sold my 360 just to buy a PS3 and the show. So, mlb 09 was my first.Da Hoppa?Comment

Re: How long have you been playing Sony's MLB series?
Played my first game of The Show in 08, on my buddies PS3, I was, maybe still am primary a PC gamer, but the next year I got a PS3 and The Show 09 on release day.
Before that I played MVP on the PC and I want to say Triple Play before that. I can also recall playing a baseball game on the PSX for a couple of years, maybe MLB? I think 05 was the last year I played MVP, and I drifted out of baseball games for awhile, but I longed to play a really good baseball simulation and I got addicted to the show in 1 game, but it took me a year to break down and grab a PS3.Comment

Re: How long have you been playing Sony's MLB series?
Back in 2009 I was searching ebay looking for an old copy of NHL 2K to tryout and noticed one guy was selling NHL 2K7 and MLB 07 for £5. At that time I had barely watched any real baseball so MLB 07 stayed in a drawer for a month or so before I got round to trying it.
Baring in mind I knew very little about the sport I had no expectations when I loaded the game but I was instantly drawn in and loved playing it so much that NHL 2K (aswell as my other games) were discarded while I kept going back to The Show. From there I picked up 09 and have purchased every version since including 12.
What I really credit The Show for is turning me into a Baseball fan to the point where I would spend hours and hours of my free time reading about the history of the game and learning about anything I didn't understand (which was a lot!). I've even been a subscriber to MLB.tv for the past two years and it's all down to The Show, truly the best sports video game i've ever played.Comment
