I don't call pitch locations, the extent of my managing is pinch hitting, double switches, steals, hit and run, sacrifice bunt, putting on a take sign, double switches, mound visits, warming up relievers properly, and pitching changes. I figure a manager doesn't call pitches that often, that's usually done by the catcher with the pitcher having the final say. I'll call an intentional walk, pitchout, or a pickoff attempt but that's about it. My games only take 30 to 40 minutes to complete. Unless I get busy doing something else and I just let the game run itself for a little while.

Re: Manage Only Mode -- Pitch Location
Well I have games where they get knocked around and other games where they pitch gems.
In fact a couple of games ago I got a complete game shutout from Brandon Beachy.Comment

Well after playing and trying stuff out the last 3 hours or so I will say based on a small sample size don't pitch to batter with power hitters often unless you have a big lead. Its good for throwing strikes but often gets whacked out.Pitch aggressive is good for keeping the ball in the yard, but not as effective for strike throwing. Also I wouldn't agree that they keep the ball down with that selection,I've seen it all over.Rarely seen it hit out.Pitch around is just what it says it is,but if confidence is high for the pitcher can be really good for corner strike throwing.Giants

Re: Manage Only Mode -- Pitch Location
I find that 'pitch to batter' mode basically means to throw them a dog right down the middle. Basically I find it's a good one to pick when your guy has just thrown three balls and the announcers are riding you with the "They *want* this guy to hit the ball" comments.Comment

I've reverted back to calling every pitch.Takes a bit longer, but the team has pitched a lot betterGiants

One of the Devs told me Pitch to Batter definitely means throw more strikes. He didn't however specify what Pitch Aggressive means.I lean towards it meaning throw a quality strike,Aka corners and lowGiants
