My strategy is to realize I'll never be patient enough to take them and swing early and often.

I just drew 16 BB in one game... with one player:

This will more than likely happen with me too.

My main issue with RTTS in All Star difficulty is that AA pitchers throw strikes like 85% of the time, so i either hit or strike out. Shouldn't they have more issues with control?

I have tried lowering 1 notch CPU pitchers consistence, strike frequency and control and it looks a bit better, but still too many strikes pitched imho.

For what i have been reading in the forums, maybe the problem is that i play in All star difficulty. The lower the difficulty, the more strikes pitched to make it easier for you to hit. I might try HOF even when it sounds counter intuitive to raise the difficulty to get more balls pitched against you.

Actually they throw alot of strikes because of the fact that they have control issues. Their lack of control forces them to really aim towards the middle of the zone to get it in the zone at all which results in more strikes. Also good hitters tend to get the call up much quicker than the good pitchers because no one wants to call that star prospect pitcher up to early and ruin what he could be. So with a lack of control and lack of batters that really worry them you'll see more strikes.

I had this happen to me in a RTTS the other night. I noticed it in Batting Practice. The pitcher went into his windup and throwing motion but the ball disappeared. I heard the woosh of the ball like it was thrown toward me but never saw it and was not able to swing. This happened after the 3rd pitch. So I ended batting practice and the game starts. As soon as I come up there 's a runner on base, the pitcher winds up and throws and it instantly says Ball Out of Play. It did three times in a row in the same at bat! So, I simmed the rest of the game and exited by RTTS player. Re-loaded it and it was fine, but I still got credit for 3 walks in the same innning.

That is pretty much exactly what happened to me. I just decided to play the game out to see what would happen.

I think if you guess anywhere and the ball come into the center square it will show. That is if you have guess pitch on 1/4.

I don't know what the settings are for guess pitch.

I basically only guess straight down when I think a change up will hit the ground. That pitch always looks like a strike and I really need a camera angle that helps me see that low pitch so I won't have to use guess pitch anymore.

Anyway, when I do guess, I get a white upside down triangle, you know, the shape of the 5 food groups pyramid.

So, for location, how would I guess "straight down the middle"?

Well, if your setting is on 1/4. That means that one side is covering 1/4 of the plate. 1/6 would obviously cover a much shorter portion of the plate.
