Makes sense though, i'm sure there were many who complained about having to play three seasons of minor league ball before getting to the majors, not everyone has that much time on their hands.
2 months in and a starter in AAA? I'm 1.5 months in and only the #2 guy in the rotation n AA(despite me posting real good numbers).

Though DBacks have lots of SP on their team, and it'll be real hard to make their MLB rotation when guys like Hudson,Kennedy are in it.

I never pass the attribute goal where you have to get your LHP contact to a certain point. If you fail both (sometimes 3) of them, the club will hold you back and won't call you up.

You also have to consider injuries. When a big leaguer gets injured they have to call someone up to the show.

Same, i think some people should check their difficulty settings if they find it too easy. Playing on harder difficulty levels will make you struggle, fail more goals, get less training points and in resume, to develop at a more realistically pace.

Of course some would prefer to become all 99 in their 1st year and to beat all MLB records and it's fine, it's a game and you play it as you want.

Re: RTTS too easy to get called up this year?

Just like many of you, I've been playing The Show for years (I started in 08). RTTS has been my primary mode and I continue to LOVE it.

My biggest problem however has been that I never seem to be able to finish an entire career. I hate simulating even a single game, because I want my stats to reflect only what I've put into them. So every year I spend nearly 2 seasons building up my player to make the majors, and then I get through 3 to 5 additional seasons before the next years game is going to come out.

This year, I made the majors just after the all star break of my 1st season. And quite honestly I was ECSTATIC. I'm sick of playing through the minors.

For the past 3 years, I've been hoping for only one feature addition to The Show. The ability to import your RTTS character from one year to the next. That way when MLB 13 comes out, I can import my RTTS player from MLB 12 that has 6-8 seasons under his belt and continue from where I left off.

This is #1 thing holding back The Show in my opinion!

Re: RTTS too easy to get called up this year?

Actually I think call ups have a more realistic feel to them this year. Look at Bryce Harper as an example. Your character is supposed to be THAT level of prospect.

A lot of it also depends on how your team is performing, how the other players around you are preforming and how the guy in the MLB is performing. Yes, the other two guys might have been higher on the development charts but what were their stats? If you were out preforming them and the guy in the MLB got hurt or was just straight up sucking then you'll be the one getting the call.

I actually had the other happening for me. I was 2nd ranked on team's charts but guys under me were getting called up to AAA and MLB ahead of me because I was only batting .120, thanks to a really rough April. I turned it around and startting batting mid .200 and I got called up.

As for being put into the leadoff spot, if your team isn't doing so well, why not get the 18 year old speedster some AB in leadoff since that's probably where they intend you to be. Like I said, you're the "Bryce Harper" level of talent so they want to get you up in the pros as soon as possible and making an impact as soon as possible.

Re: RTTS too easy to get called up this year?

The big thing to remember is that the callups are dynamic so if a few guys at your position go on the shelf or you pick a team and position that's weak it's very easy to rocket up the ladder past the stiffs.

There are 2 things I would love to see in the future to make everyone happy:
              A) Fall league so that people who like being the superstar immediately can start there, dominate and be in ST by the start of the current or 1st season of the game.
              B) The ability to choose to play as a longshot prospect who has to scratch and claw for even a sniff of the show.

Re: RTTS too easy to get called up this year?

I'm stuck in AA at the end of may the manager got angry at me because I accidentally stole a base after he told me not to, so I went from the starting rf to a utility player off bench. Oh yeah forgot To mention I am leading the league in all offensive categories. I have a .492 avg with 11 hrs and 58 RBI with 19 doubles .. Seems like a real good utility player huh. Can't seem to get back into good graces even though I just won the last game with a walk off hr. love the yanks but given the option I may ask for trade, ridiculous if I can't become starter again

I got called up to AAA just after my 2nd game as a SP, but now I'm getting hammered , in AAA I had like 2 innings pitched and a 21.8 era...pretty funny

I'm almost done my first season and I'm in AA. It would be easier to make it up though because you actually start as a regular member of the team.

I couldn't make a hitter this year though, even though I've made a RF every year previously, but if the hitting is as flawed as it is on DD, there would be no fun to it at all.

You guys are lucky, my SP is stuck in AA with a 0.91 ERA and 160 strikeouts heading into the final week of the first season. First few times I was set to be called up they said I wasn't ready, then they said they had no room in the rotation at AAA. Three of the guys on the AAA team have an ERA over Come on, management. Get me to Albuquerque.

EDIT: Wow, right after posting this I was traded to the Mets. What do they do? Demote me to the bullpen, saying they need better stats from a SP. I am now a bullpen pitcher with a 0.8 ERA, 170 SOs, 7-1 record, and I was the starting pitcher in the Double-A All-Star Game. What the heck?

I only made the upgrade in the first offseason, they sent me a contract and it was as the AAA closer, I was happy enough with the offer I lowered the money before accepting it. It's not like money does anything, amazing how far behind they are in some aspects of this game.

I finished the season with about 42 saves and an ERA somewhere around 2. Let's see if I can keep it up at the AAA level and try for the majors someday. I don't know though, Closer seems to be the only position the Royals even have a good player at, if they were smart they would trade me once it became obvious I had MLB potential, or trade the other closer and take a chance on trying me out. No point in having two great closers on your team. Although in real life I suppose you could use one as a set-up, but I don't think the game works that way.
