Re: G'MO's Custom Offset Camera 2012
I just found a nice angle for batting a few days ago, but this view intrigues me, I'm gonna give it a go, its also very simple to "set up" by your description...
Thanks for sharing this, I can always use help hitting as I like to keep the game competitive...Comment

Re: G'MO's Custom Offset Camera 2012
I have trouble hitting too, and I use Pure Analog. I don't get how to use different hit types. Like the Controls say press R2 and R analog up to influence a fly ball, but when I press those buttons the batter does nothing but just stand their?Comment

Oh so you press R2 and a hit direction first, then just use the analog to swing like normal.Comment

Re: G'MO's Custom Offset Camera 2012
Is this stadium still in for practice mode? I'm hoping so! (Stadium picture is on OP)
This is the best camera for me to use for hitting.Milwaukee Brewers | Green Bay Packers | North Carolina Tar Heels | Wisconsin BadgersComment

Re: G'MO's Custom Offset Camera 2012
It is. I didn't see this thread for last years version. Just set the camera up in '14 and was amazed at how much better I was seeing the ball. I still need some time to get more comfortable with it, but WOW...I'm getting more solid swings on the ball and able to lay off the kryptonite (aka outside or high heat).Comment

Re: G'MO's Custom Offset Camera 2012
It's actually a slightly different stadium on ps4 I think. One of the spring training stadiums. The one with the big black batters eye. I think it's that same thing just slightly dated with palm trees and an extra scoreboard.Comment

Re: G'MO's Custom Offset Camera 2012
I use a custom camera that sets up right in front of the catcher. I zoom in to the top of the batter's box and see a little of the plate. Basically I am trying to simulate what it would look like as a batter in real life. At first it felt a little weird but the strike zone is huge and you get a great read out of the pitcher's hand.Attached FilesComment

Re: G'MO's Custom Offset Camera 2012
What's up fellas...Some of you guys enjoyed my custom offset camera from last year...
Last years thread ----> http://www.operationsports.com/forum...ball-best.html
Here is the 2012 version of the same camera. This year I'll be working from 1 camera instead of 3. I figured I'd just keep it simple since I'll give you the instructions how to recreate it below.
What does the camera allow you to do better?
In short I have my custom camera offset to the outside more and set lower than base offset cam. It allows you to see velocity and angles better and it's lowered just right so you can judge low balls and high balls equally as well.
------------------------
Here are the instructions on how to make the camera
1) Go to the batting practice mode
2) Pick Andrew McCutchern as your batter
3) Pick anybody you want as the pitcher
4) Pick the practice field as your stadium
5) Once your into practice - go to your custom camera's
6) Use L1/R1 to get to the WIDE camera preset
7) Move the Left Stick down so that the top strike zone aligns with the top of the blue wall of the stadium.
Take a look at the pic below of where you should be at this point
8) Move the Right Stick to the right so that the top upper white corner of the strike zone is matched up with the left side of the batter eye's screen in the background. Look at the red arrow in the picture below.
And that's it... Remember to use Andrew as your batter as his height will set a nice low angle that you need to judge low pitches better. That camera will sit at that same spot even with taller batters at the plate.
I guarantee that this view will improve your help improve your batters eye to hit the dreaded change up and 12-6 curve ball, as well as every other pitch that game as to offer.
Let me know how it works out for you guys!Comment
