Can't really comment on too many of the deep franchise issues, I haven't been able to get far in a franchise yet. Hopefully SCEA gets some of the stuff in this thread fixed - they make the best sports game on the market, it would be nice to see them take the lead in refining the game after release (unlike EA, for example).

thats another one I forgot about.
    Agreed.

Also, maybe tone down those dropped 3rd strikes.

Someone asked this question before but there was never really a clear answer. If/when they patch this, will we have to restart our franchises? Also, does anyone remember when they fixed this in MLB 10? Was it fixed in the first patch? I'm looking forward to getting my franchise going as soon as the OSFM roster comes out but I don't want to play all night games through the week and day games during the weekend. The more I think about it the more difficult it is for me to understand how this got overlooked.
Gagnon, I know that last time we had to restart our Franchise. I'm just like you man; a Cubs fan, wanting to start this as soon as possible, and the schedule annoys me to the point that I just can't do it, ESPECIALLY with the Cubs. Also, like yourself, the more I think about it, the more annoyed I get.

The big push this year was Franchise compatibility between PS3 and Vita... with that being such a focus, it's just so hard to believe that this went unnoticed.

Fingers crossed man, because the game on the field this year is SO good. I've just been playing Exhibition and having a blast... but that won't last forever.

I've been playing my Spring Training schedule waiting for OSFM to drop. Now I'm worried that the roster is going to drop but the schedule will not be fixed. I really don't know what I'll do at that point.

I know SCEA is always at work on different things and that they've got a million things going on but it would be very nice for someone (since members from the team frequent these boards) to at least say that this will be fixed. Just simply knowing this will be good enough for me. It hasn't even been brought up by a developer as far as I know.

I'd be shocked if it wasn't fixed.
          They hear the cries.
When hasn't Sony ever come through on a particular patch fix?

I assume they will, but I'm always concerned that they won't. I just like when they at least say they are aware of an issue and are working on a fix.

              I agree.

It makes use feel better when they say it then we can relax and wait.
I for one can't play it right now without the correct times [and OSFM] so I am with you.

I'm in the same boat but it seems that now I'm waiting for two things. First the roster set (OSFM) and then the patch for the schedule fix. When did the first patch come out for MLB 10? Does anyone remember? And did it include the schedule patch?

If I remember correctly it came out roughly 2 weeks after release. Where's Burghfan when we need him? Dude's OS' resident statician.

Edit: For MLB 10 it looks like it was released March 18th.

I'm going to bet that this year's patch will take longer to be released, if at all. If so, maybe they will patch in the new Playoff format! *fingers crossed*

I wouldn't hold your breathe for the new playoff format. And if the patch for MLB 10 came out on the 18th that fixed the schedule, that's reason for some slight concern for me. Come on SCEA, please fix this!

MLB10 came out on March 2nd, and it had 2 patches by March 18th.
MLB11 came out on March 8th and it had a patch by March 22nd.

I'd be real surprised if no patch gets released within the next week.

Do you know in which patch they fixed the schedule problem? And I still don't think there's been any clarification on whether we will have to re-start our franchises. I haven't started one yet because I'm waiting on the OSFM roster.

In MLB 10, to fix the schedule, you had to restart your franchise. If this isn't fixed by opening day I'll be super disappointed. We shouldn't be having to wait one or two patches and over a month into release to play this game's main mode.

SCEA has a very good track record, so at this point we just have to hope that continues.
